Went in with a an abscessed tooth in severe pain and NO insurance. Asked the doc about using my own resources to get a crown and saving myself money on the mark up which from previous experience can be up to 700%. Doc began listing all the bills HE had to pay. NEXT.

We have been coming here for a few years now and I really love this place: the staff here is always so helpful and so kind. My kids love Dr. Kunal and the ladies that work there. They are always so professional and so kind. Not only do they do dental but ortho as well. The front office ladies are amazing as well! Always greeted with a smile!

Needed an emergency dentists found South Hill Dental. I was able to get in immediately. The staff was amazing. Literally the best experience I have had with a dentist. I will be recommending them to everyone i know.

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing my experience was here. I called them about extreme tooth pain and they got me in as a new patient the next day! I knew it would need to be pulled and I was so freaking nervous. Let me tell you from the very moment I walked into this office I couldn't stop smiling! These people are beyond nice! Emma staid with me most of my visit here and she just is the sweetest girl ever!

Unreal! I literally just called this location to shop for a new dentist since I'm new to the area and within 2 mins of conversation with the receptionist I knew immediately I wasn't going to deal with this place. The attitude and unprofessionalism of the receptionist is absolutely alarming! She didn't sound like she even wanted to talk. Her tone and how she would respond is unacceptable. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place.

A very stylish and clean office with the most friendly and helpful staff ever. My hygenist was meticulous with my cleaning and accommodating with my sensitivity to anesthesia. Highly recommended *****.

I have felt so fortunate to have found this dental practice. They have quite a beautiful office and have been very conscientious of Covid restrictions. They are very welcoming and very accommodating. They work well as a team and have greatly assisted me in dealing with natural anxiety that I've always felt going to the dentist. Now when I go to the dentist, I feel like I'm going to see my friends that fix my teeth, lol. I would highly recommend this caring, compassionate dental practice to anyone seeking a new dental provider.

The people here know what they're doing, they know what they're talking about and I really appreciated that. I never have to wait more than a couple of minutes when I show up to an appointment and the staff are all so kind and respectful. They also honor that some of us have dental anxiety and different pain tolerance. This is the first dental office that has listened and cared about my comfort and soothing my anxiety while under their care. So thank you to the staff! My family and I will continue to come here as long as we are in the region.

First timer visiting today & the whole entire staff were so nice from front desk to assistants to the doctor itself. They made you feel extra comfortable even when you got nerves running through your veins. The doc and the assistant I had, she held my hand while I was having my extraction; and the doc really was thorough with explaining options for me. After a bad experience with my previous dental doc, South Hill takes the award for me. I truly appreciate them all for really caring for their patients.

I highly recommend South Hill Dental. They have a wonderful staff. Both Jill and Marcy were fantastic. They treated me with extra care and kindness. That is really important to me because I am somewhat self-conscious of my teeth. I came in to get an emergency tooth extraction first thing in the morning and I wasn't even a previous patient. The whole procedure took less than 30 minutes start to finish. I am so grateful they were able to get me in immediately and take my pain away. I will definitely come back here for future dental work.

I'm new to WA. Lucky to quickly find a good dental office! Great experience today with implant/tooth removal. All staff have excellent. I have no fear of dental work; but, regardless, Dr. K Walia explained all procedure well, and has best "bedside" manner I've had in decades: Much appreciated

They got me in at the last minute this morning after 1/2 of my tooth (rebuilt with veneer ~18 years ago at another clinic) chipped/fell off. Really great service start to finish, quick and straight forward procedure, professional and friendly staff. My "new" tooth looks amazing. Prices were very fair even without insurance and the entire procedure was quoted to me before we began. The clinic was beautiful too- it kind of felt like a spa in design. I'll be back for future cleanings and services. Thanks everyone.

This dental office is AMAZING! They have so much compassion for dental fears and even for special needs patients. They are honest and very upfront about your options and they do great work. Our entire family are patients here and we won't ever change dental offices again. You won't be disappointed!

My personal opinion is they have terrible customer service. The older dentist and almost all the dental hygienist are very rude and don't know how to work with people with dental anxiety or fears of dental work. Once I was called a baby for being fearful of novacane, the dentist said I don't have time for this tell me when she's done being a baby.

I was in tears because of anxiety they were aware I had a fear of dental work. I consistently have to be hyped up on anxiety meds to get work done at all. On another occasion it was pretty clear they were working with new equipment they weren't entirely familiar with and three different hygienist were snapping at me to stay still as they were cutting into my gums with molds and a tooth scanner thing (I'm not really sure what it was).

On the other hand the front desk and administrative workers are super nice and they work with you rescheduling and making sure you're within your insurance plans. I definitely canceled appointments consistently out of anxiety! After going to another dentist it's clear there are better ways, I have much less anxiety going somewhere with kind employees who work with me on overcoming this fear.

I had a particularly bad tooth and the Dr was caring and understanding of my pain. His staff were also caring of my experience being the best under my circumstances. I'd recommend this office to anyone who has dental anxiety!

I love this these guys! I started going here when I lived in Puyallup. 5 years ago I moved to Tacoma and I make the trek out to South Hill Dental because they always do a great job and treat me well. (It doesn't seem that far but Meridian is my own version of hell.) I'm a total pain in the ass client who doesn't floss like she should and lies about it when asked. Yes.

I know. "You're a grown adult Stefanie, be more responsible." I'll get there one day I promise. Anyways. everyone here is warm and welcoming. I hate dental work and act like a 4 year old when I get cleanings but they are extra careful to make sure I don't hurt. I also have Invisalign and my teeth are looking SO MUCH BETTER than when I started.

Even my brother complimented the difference when he came home after not seeing him for a year. My brother complimented me guys! Usually he just tells me I'm dumb or something so this is big. They look great! (Even though I push out my appointments much longer than I should. Again. my bad. working on "adulting".) I recommend all of my friends and clients here when they're looking for someone to take care of their teefers. Thanks South Hill Dental!

Have left review before, but another visit merits another review!.Walking into South Hill Dental I am always greeted with genuinely happy employees who are very thorough but also attentive to my requests/needs. I really appreciate how they do not push unnecessary work on their clients like other dental offices i've visited. I get compliments often on my smile and I really owe it to South Hill Dental for keeping it the best it could be!

I went in for a consultation and cleaning of my teeth. The hygienist/dental assistant was super nice and that is my reasoning for 2 stars. He made me feel welcome and got me warmed up to being at the dentist. This office is extremely nice and you can tell a lot of money has been put into it. TVs at the chairs, cool new xray machine to save you from multiple pictures needing to be taken, etc.

Fast forward to the 3 minutes spent with the actual dentist. He took a quick look at my teeth, explained I had cavities needing to be filled and I should have my wisdom teeth taken out. Okay, cool. How about my front tooth crown that is loose and causing me extreme pain? He told me to just wait until it becomes more loose and then we'll address it. WHAT.

That was it, he was gone in an instant. I have never felt more rushed and not cared for at a dentist ever. Thank goodness for the awesome dental assistant. Fast forward 2 weeks later where I find a new dentist to go to because the pain is becoming unbearable and come to find out I HAVE AN INFECTION IN MY GUM WHERE MY TOOTH IS HURTING. My new dentist gave me a antibiotics prescription and I have to have my tooth removed by an oral surgeon.

I knew something else was wrong, good thing I trusted my gut. South Hill Dental did not even give me extra xrays of my problem tooth. Thanks South Hill Dental for trying to get my money (trying to fund another one of your Audi R8's in the parking lot, eh?), not address my issue and for making me feel like I did not matter as a patient. Please take your smile else where, because coming here you will leave here NOT "happy."

Dr. Kunal and his staff are absolutely the best! We've been patients of theirs since 2005 and couldn't imaging going anywhere else. My daughter recently had braces put on and even though she was scared, they walked her through each step offering constant reassurance. Will be a loyal customer for life!

Was UNPLEASANTLY surprised by the HUGE cost of my initial appointment when it was CLEARLY marked on my paperwork that I had NO INSURANCE. While at the appointment, I asked many times "how much will this cost?" as I was shuffled from chair to X-ray machine, etc. and was told "I don't know." The initial appointment was for a checkup, (with X-rays) and cleaning.

I also had a consultation for braces. When I went to the payment desk, I was in TEARS as I had NO IDEA I would be paying just shy of $500! A week later, I visited a different dentist in the area with a MUCH better consultation (very informative and comprehensive) with more X-rays, sophisticated pictures inside and outside of my mouth, cleaning (because the original missed a few spots) and a consultation for braces. ALL for a FRACTION ($40 to be precise) of the cost. Not good business practice.

I can't stop telling people how much I love this place! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. I've had a phobia of the dentist for years, but they make me excited for my next appointment! Go here!

I've been a client there for a few years and while I LOVE the dental care and the staff is impressive my only complaint would be while they are extremely technically proficient they are pretty terrible at telling you what they are doing in your mouth. Its a lot of sit in the chair get wrenched on for an hour and then go pay the lady. I would much prefer a more constant narrative of what they are doing.

I much prefer Dr. Kunal but have been served by both dentists. They are both very skilled and they embody the family business atmosphere since they are a father/son team. Their lead Asst. Jill is an amazing person who seems to almost appreciate my sarcastic remarks and makes the place run pretty smoothly.
