In 1980, he co-founded Pediatrics Northwest with Dr. Lawrence Larson.

It makes me sad to have to put a negative review about this clinic because the pediatrician is so great, but unfortunately the clinic operates as a whole and when the front office and phone center is trash it effects the clinic as a whole as it sets the tone for the first point of contact. I must agree with the negative reviews I have heard in our community as well as read online about the very poor customer service (phone representative/non clinical) which is what we interact with 90% of the time as patients. Getting a hold of anyone to schedule is an all day process, the hold is very long and when you get to speak to someone they snippy, bothered, and unprofessional (I just dread calling there now b/c of conatan9dealing with this).I kept having multiple very unprofessional customer service experiences to a point were I am left feeling so awful and helpless on hetting the help I need for my child.

When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was passed to a lady named Krystal, no warm transfer or anything, She picked up the phone laughing (I am not sure what was funny), would not even discuss my concerns, seemed unbothered and no compassion to feedback. She kept dismissing me and trying to shut me off, ans trying to run me off the phone. She never apologized for the unprofessionalism or showed any remorse.

She didn't even ask what the situation was about. At least she could have tried to fake it smh but didn't really care to. My understanding is that she is the one that over sees the clinic so it seems like the poor customer service issue is deeper than just the front office. This explains the ongoing issue that theybhave been having on failing to aupport these great providers that they have in the clinic. I was not able to find a professional and compassion team member to speak to to resolve any concerns.

Very bad experience I had to change doctor Mendoza who has seen my children since they were born because it is impossible to make an appointment I start calling at 8:00 am and they answer the phone 45 minutes later to tell me that there is no appointment that I have to call the next time at 8 in the morning is really a shame, but if they continue like this they will run out of patients.

Nearly impossible to call. Please change this! Great doctors work there but it's not worth it. Unbelievable wait times just to make an appointment and it doesn't help the front desk is pretty snippy. I recommend finding a different office.

Dr Ali Schutts is great. Never had any issues with her and she is quick to respond and available.

Dr. Mendoza is amazing BUT good luck getting an appointment with him if your child is sick. He is always booked out at least a month out. Also, there's a 20 min. Wait time just to get through to schedule the actual appointment. The receptionist are RUDE and don't acknowledge you when you go to check in, so you just stand there until someone feels like checking you in. AND forget about getting a same day emergency appointment UNLESS your child has flu like symptoms.

We've been using Peds NW since our daughter was born. Our doctor is Dr Mendoza, and we absolutely love him and only have good things to say. The office itself. it's getting worse by the year. Good lucking trying to get ahold of someone at the front desk in less than 30-40 min on the phone. Who has that much time to wait on the phone to schedule something?

I've tried mychart, it takes them days (5-6 days the last time I tried) to respond. Right now I've been trying to get a exemption for my kiddo since last week. Zero response. I've left messages, mychart, and even right now on the phone with them for almost 30 min - just music playing. At this point I'm considering switching to another pediatric office. Get ready for long wait times on the phone, lack of communication with front desk, and hour long waits in the office to see the doctor for 5-10 min.

This place is far from being a decent clinic to take your children or that is the experience I've had with this practitioner, Dr. Mendoza. He never assessed the problem from what we where at the office, never prescribed any medication even when he knew it was needed and I needed to reach to his colleagues to get the help I was looking for, once again his assessment are null.

I was so shock that Pediatric NW federal way has low review. Our son is a patient at Pediatric NW since he was born with Dr. Apostol and he is almost 8 years now. He always has been amazing & pleasant. Dr. Apostol is a wonderful doctor and cares about your child. Yes, I agree about wait but I think that's almost every hospital you go to there will be always some waits.

We are so happy that our son was able to get treated by Dr. Apostol and his staffs. There was few times that we could not able to schedule appointment with Dr. Apostol, so met with different doctor there but we were satisfied every time past almost 8 years. Thank you Pediatric NW for taking good care of our son with love & care.

Dr. John Apostol is hands down the most amazing doctor ever! He is always so nice, explains everything very clearly, hears you out, very reassuring, understanding and always treats our child so well! We actually enjoy our check ups: Highly highly recommended him!

Worst experience ever! Scheduled my daughter's allergist appointment nearly two months came in today and I was told I was scheduled for a wellness check up not an allergy test appt. Mind you I live 40 minutes from this clinic, I was referred by my doctor and the clinic's reviews to make the drive instead of going to see an allergist that was 10 minutes away from home. I wasted time that I will never get back! The doctor responded with "sorry for the mix up, this has been happening lately". Do not go to this clinic as they are unorganized!
