For more than 60 years, Gessler Clinic, P.A. has been the best Winter Haven clinic, providing a wide range of services to meet our community's comprehensive health care needs. Addiction Medicine is concerned with the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of persons with the disease of addiction, of those with substance-related health conditions, and of people who show. Whether it's peanuts, oak pollen or a new puppy, if allergy symptoms are making your life miserable, it might be time to see an allergist/immunologist.
Gessler Clinic will assist you by filing your claim with Medicare or your private insurance company. If you have secondary insurance, we will file this for you as well. Contact your insurance company prior to scheduling an appointment to confirm provider or physician participation with your particular plan. If you have any questions regarding insurance or billing, please call the Insurance and Billing Department at 863-298-3355.
We encourage you to make your appointments as far in advance as possible. We recognize the importance of your time and will make every effort to meet your scheduled appointment. We ask your understanding when medical emergencies may occasionally cause us to delay or reschedule your appointment. Please notify us as soon as possible if you must cancel your appointment, or be unavoidably late. If you must cancel your appointment due to last-minute unforeseen circumstances, please let us know immediately.

As a nurse I am truly impressed by the Gessler Clinic. They are extremely convenient from having all of my labs and mammogram done their on the premises to the excellent service I receive from every one of the providers. I currently see Dr Lipschitz as a pcp and Dr Advani as a gastro and they are awesome, efficient and accessible. I would recommend to everyone.

Unfortunately, I love our Doctors out of GESSLER, but the struggle to call and speak with a nurse or there appointment desk is unbelievable, you have to go thru there main switch board which if you get lucky you only wait 5 to 10 minutes to be transferred! Today 30 minutes before someone answered to be transferred to a nurse to only be able to leave a message, so your lucky if you even get a call back.
They need to get up with the times, there's now enough private physicians coming to our area that I hope they start putting forth a bit more personal feel to there office and just not make you feel like your just another number!

Spent last 6 months attending appointments and interacting with hospitalist in my mom's care. The Doctors we interacted with either complain about the medical system and their inability to make money, check watch as your talking, and shrug shoulders and give flippant answers to questions. They demonstrate the epitome of the medical system's brokenness. More discussion on what cannot be done vs what can.

I now have MAJOR PROBLEMS AND ISSUES with the nurses, medical assistants, schedulers and administration! I have seen my rheumatologist for over 6 years at other locations, she just started at gessler a year ago maybe! I unfortunately have very poor health problems with my 6 autoimmune disorders, 3 genetic disorders and other gi disorders and had to go north with my snowbird folks last 3 years and it's never been an issue!
My cousin passed from Covid this month and I had to delay my trip back to fl and reschedule the appointment twice! I had labs on the 12th, follow up on the 13th with more labs and received a certified letter in the mail stating I was discharged from care from my rheumatologist who has been there sense day 1 at other clinics and I follow her! The appointment went really well with absolutely no indication of my dr discharging me from care as she stated see you for follow up in 4 to 6 weeks the nurses will schedule you and walked out!
She's ran autoimmune Panama, a genetic test and basic labs for disease activity! Well you can imagine how much I am stunned and hurt and this clinic refuses to patch me through to her nurse and sends me to administration who hangs up and promises things that are all lies! The signature on the discharge letter is not even hers it seems, it's slanted opposite way of all prior signature la on scrips, letters and er notes she sends me eith!
All I am told is the relationship between dr and patient was fractured! It's extremely hard to fracture a relationship with a dr when I was out of town sense early June across the country and only messaged maybe 4 times over portal and called to reschedule my appointment due to a funeral! This is completely gaslighting me as a patient, ruining what trust I did give her nurses and what was falsely said to my dr by her med assistants and nurse I will never know!
Thank you doctor Rodriguez for all of the years you did care and stuck by my side! I truly do miss you and know I will never find another rheumatologist as kind, caring and empathetic as you! A nurse broke hipaa as well

This is bad place to go I haven't been there in years with the exception of one dr but I got shot of steroids there and the doctor that you are supposed to help you gave me 4 shots in a month I found out that he was giving me to many and his staff is overly rude and most of the people there are horrible and treat you bad I tell you that for the past 7 years they have send me a bill for 5.00 I think they spend more on the stamp and envelope but I was lucky I LEFT never go back and if you complain they don't care they lie to you to save them self what a horrible place

I've been with Gessler Clinic for years, and now is the time I part ways. I do realize life happens and many things are out of our control. Yet, I had an appointment set up for nearly 2 months, even took off of work for the appointment. I get a call the morning of saying that I can not be seen because Dr. Jones could not come in. Only offered me another appointment a month out again, absolutely not.
Why would I wait another month to possibly be cancelled again? This is bad business regardless of the reason. You'd think I would get a better offer on the next appointment being that I was cancelled same day. Not to mention, the customer service. I will not and would not recommend Gessler.

I switched from gessler clinic and have a relative who still attends who is currently looking for a new primary. She has a few underlying conditions and has the hardest time even trying to get an appointment in with Dr Desena when she isn't feeling good. There has been numerous times the doctor or nurse hasn't even called her back when they say they will.
She recently tried to schedule an appointment and they told her she would be better off going to the ER to get some answers. This has been going on for 4 months now. I do not recommend this place at all and would find a doctor who actually cares to see their patients.

Great clinic and excellent, personable docs. Came here for COVID testing and their protocols at the Fever and Cough in-car testing with phone conference was prompt, efficient, thorough and extremely safe. the nurse who came to do our swab was donned in proper infection control attire. As someone in healthcare who has researched this, I appreciate this on so many levels. Excellent job. and I'm not just saying this because I'm happy I tested negative, either!

I had a bill from LabCorp $192.00 from Free T4 blood work done in 09/2020. I have called the insurance it wasn't covered. I have called the clinic they couldn't help me because it wasn't a bill from them. They shouldn't send blood work where our insurances isn't covered. I ended paying today before it goes to my credit report.

Last March, I went to Gessler Clinic. Dr. Mendez spent about 5 minutes with me. I did not even get to fill out all of my patient history before she left. I took a plethora of tests and received no explanation or further action to figure out what is going on with me. It's a year later and I'm still suffering with chronic fatigue and nerve pain.
To top it off, I missed one follow up appointment and they sent me a $30.00 bill in the mail. It is a crime that they can charge $30.00 for NOTHING. They sent me a bill every month for a full year for this ridiculous fine. Well, you win Gessler clinic. My $30.00 is in the mail, but I will NEVER be back nor will I have anything good to say about this TERRIBLE place.

Doctor Jones is good doctor but the clinic itself is horrible. They act as they don't want patients under the age of 18. My daughter was in need of seeing a doctor but because she is under 18 they won't allow her in the walk in clinic so they scheduled a appointment with a nurse practitioner Roxanne Ford for 215 today at 155 they call me and say the nurse practitioner does not see children. Poor management from administration.

Unbelievably ridiculously experiences here. i have been helping my mother manage her healthcare for seven years now without issues, yet we have experienced 3 major issues at gessler in under a month there is a completely out of control culture here of zero accountability. staff simply behave in any manner that amuses them with impunity. if you look at the recent reviews, they are all one and two star for the past few years. my advice to you is to heed this and save yourself the aggravation that gessler will give you

I have sever back spasms from a car wreck, the doctor I was seeing for 18 years, prior to the "you can keep your doctor and plan bs" took care of it wonderfully. lost that doctor and came here, asked for refills on the meds that i have taken for 17 years and was denied them. came in 2 months later while having an extremlly painful spasm and was offered a shot of ibuprofen. i declined after reading notes that I'm there for pills. in reality the medication i took has been know to be addictive but for my needs i could get by for a year and a half on a 1 month script. back to the reason i was there, had to force them take an x-ray, they just wanted to give me cortisone and send me home. i dont want to mask something like my back, if there is intense pain usually something is wrong. took it upon my self to get an mir. they got it "some how"and wanted to immediatly set me up with nuero surgen. i declined and went to one in orlando who informed me that the place they were looking was not the problem. they were convinced it was lower back because of all the new fractures. kinda got a little stressed out knowing the damage that was done due to the car wreck. come to find out my lower back has healed greatly and even the disc have regenerated. come to find out i have a slipped or herniated disc in the middle of my back. and final bitch, they seem to only want to give out newer drugs that are really pricey, why you ask because i work in this type of industry and you get kick back.pretty good ones too!

This clinic and the doctors are run by the drug companies! You can't get them to give you a drug outside of the drug companies that give them samples! Sad! No minds of their own! When the insurance placed my diabetic drugs at a tier 3 my co pay was $50.00 or more! I tried to work with them but none of them cared! My blood sugar was In the three and four hundred range, THEY DID NOTHING!
They could of given me the same pill my new doctor did at a cost of $9.00 every three months! Nope I had to suffer till I could get to see a new doctor outside of Gessler! The wait time is so long because they double or triple book the patients! I'm filing a complaint and maybe it will get them shut down! Let's hope so!

This clinic is incredibly and abnormally slow. Some of the receptionists here are very rude too. It's too bad because this clinic could be a great healthcare facility. The doctors are great here, never had a problem with any of them here. The techs and nurses are kind and helpful, but the front end folks could use some lessons in patient service.
The rolling of the eyes, deep sighs, and just agitated looks are not comforting or acceptable in a medical setting. I hope Gessler Clinic could make some changes and be more consistent.
