Dr. Bretan was not a good doctor for me at all. I had a massive kidney stone while traveling and had to have emergency surgery. When I returned to my hometown with a stent, my insurance referred me to him. His recommendation was that I have the lithotripsy. In a follow-up after the procedure, he asked how I was doing on medication he never prescribed.

His office staff verified there was no prescription. I had an xray and there was still a giant kidney stone when I looked at the my x-ray. He didn't review the xray at our follow-up and determined somehow that the radiaology report was incorrect. I reminded him my name, birthday, ect. he became more rude. I tried to follow his logic and asked if the fragments would be able to pass through the pediatric stent the prior surgeon had to place during my emergency surgery.

He was dumbfounded and said he did't place a pediatric stent in my ureter. I reminded him who I was and that he had not placed the stent. I ended up leaving his office trying to get my reports and finding a new surgeon. The kidney stone has too dense and hard. He should have never attempted lithotripsy. He just caused more stone and gravel while leaving the big stone in tact!

Worst experience! Very condescending behavior by the doctor. You get two minutes with this doctor and he is not willing to discuss any of your concerns. I don't recommend this doctor.

Still under his care and suffering this problem (urgency and frequency of urination). trying to figure out what is going on.have tried many drugs for incontinence.it remains to be seen if any good results may occur. It may be Dr. Bretan is a bit cavalier and seems very preoccupied at times. Actually many, many drugs have failed per his advice for me. I'm not giving up on mitigating this problem or the Dr. We'll see what happens and will out.
