My husband has been a patient of Dr. Hamid Taheri's since 2006. We truly feel that he saved my husbands life by doing the appropriate testing and necessary procedures from the offset of his problems. He has always been provided the highest level of medical care at this facility by Dr. Taheri & staff. We feel the entire staff at this office are absolutely the best.
We recently had to go in for his annual appointment/checkup and once again had the pleasure of working with a great group of individuals. Starting with setting up the appointments with Natasha in customer service who went above and beyond to assist us, to arriving at the office and being greeted in a very professional and friendly manner by Shantel who could not have been more helpful, to the techs in the echo cardiologist department and then with Dr. Taheri and his assistant.
Their accounting department staff, Arlene and Shelly are also extremely helpful in answering all of your questions and assisting you however they can. So Kudos to the entire team of Carient Heart & Vascular, Manassas, Va. location.

My first visit with Dr. Karimi was scary hearing I needed a Stent. He was extremely kind and considerate of my feelings. He reassured me of the procedure and outcome. After having the procedure, he was very caring and let me know everything that had been done. Also, I went in for a check before a long vacation, which he was reassuring that I was fine and even sent me an email telling me to enjoy my trip! I will continue using Carient Heart & Vascular with the utmost confidence.

Dr. Prasanna, Interventional Cardiologist, installed stents in my heart almost seven years ago. Since then, he has actively and regularly followed my condition and has helped me deal with high blood pressure and sleep apnea. He listens to my concerns and helps me understand my condition. The practice seems well organized, and the medical assistants are competent and pleasant.

I was referred to Doctor Arshad for a second opinion on my A-Fib problem. Doctor Arshad after reviewing my problem with me and looking at my heart monitor readings said, I needed a Pacemaker. After the pacemaker was put in, I had two follow up visits which she checked my incision and making sure the pacemaker was operating correctly. I just had a follow up with, Doctor Arshad the other day. I found Doctor Arshad to be very caring in taking care of my problem and correcting my problem so fast. I feel so much better and thankful that I saw her when I did.

Dr. Soh is by far one of the best doctors in this area! He is genuinely concerned about your health and wellness, and he is amazingly on top of responding to questions and concerns through the patient portal. He treats you with the utmost respect and has a very calm and reassuring manner. He truly rates 10 stars!

BEWARE: Ridiculous post procedure care from Carient, a reveal LinQ monitor was explanted new one implanted by Dr. Arshad, Doctor told me to follow up for wound examination within a week, and I called many a times to get a follow up wound exam scheduled but unfortunately all the time their response was the Dr. Arshad doesn't have spot to schedule wound exam so go to other doctor. Looks like Carient is after big money for surgical procedures, and don't care for post surgery issues. Pursuant to the above, their Chief Operating Officer Wendy Adkins scheduled a meeting with me and assured she will resolve all such problems, and immediate appointment was scheduled to treat the wound.

The only doctor worth seeing here is Dr. Arshad. I saw Dr. Mafi after surgery and he was supposed to check my wound, but wouldn't even look at it. He instead argued with me about my medical history (basically calling me and all the other doctors I've seen including Dr. Arshad a liar), though he had never seen me before! Almost Two months after the surgery a stitch came out of the surface (I was told a disposable stitch was used but apparently not).
I could feel the knot under the skin it was connected to. The string broke off but I could feel something still underneath. Dr. Arshad was booked so I had to see Dr. Ghafouri who came in and said he reviewed my file but why was I there (if he had reviewed it he would have known). He looked at the wound (which was closed over) and told me he didn't see anything (I didn't realize he had X-ray vision to see under the skin).
I tried asking questions and he was very patronizing and dismissive like Dr. Mafi and I ended up walking out. A complete waste of time and I still think that I have part of a stitch under my skin!

This is my first yelp review ever. Never one to really write good or bad things, but I had to here. Carient has done virtually everything wrong in the care of my mother from day 1. They misdiagnosed her. What we originally thought was a simple valvuloplasty turned out to be a 2 valve replacement and one repair. We only discovered this on the day of her surgeey. Fine.
They prescribed xarelto and she starting having blood in the urine before surgery. We immediately called the Dr. Doc said it's not due to xarelto. I google xarelto side effects and it literally said, "may cause blood in urine, call dr. immediately." Fine. We call the dr. and only then they* discontinued and put her on coumadine. Fast forward later my mom had complications from surgery.
Huge complications. She was in the icu for 2 and half months and rehab for another half. Carient, my mother's primary cardiac dr.'s had no clue during this whole time. After leaving the hospital my mother's inr level was at approx 2, maybe high 1's. Her therapeutic range is 2 - 3. The Dr. orders were to jump it from 2mg to 6mg for 4 days.
I thought it seemed way too high, but whatever, Dr.'s orders. She went back in to check her inr and they told is it was now at 8! Followed up a few days later and they said it was at 8. Asked the nurse what was inr level before then because it made no sense it didnt change and she said it was at 10 before! This is 100% true and I geniunely wish it wasn't.
I thought I had to share my experience especially because of the nature of the type of service this establishment provides. Not sure if this review will remain up. If it goes against any policies by all means take it down. I really hope this case my family went through is just an isolated incident. The staff is friendly at least.

I recently was referred by my primary care doctor. Prior to my appointment I called and spoke with the billing department about my insurance they assured me not to worry and they took my insurance. After visiting with Dr. Yazdani he put my fears to rest and ordered a test of my heart and a sleep study. I would highly recommend this pleasant office and doctor to anyone! I would give ten stars if I could.

The Woodbridge location had no reviews. Carient care is all a scam and I am re-posting my review from that location over here as well. This place is a total scam and they are all about making money. Went here to get an echo performed and to gather some heart data from a holter monitor. Our insurance company stated that we owed them co-pay as we saw a "specialist doctor." There was not one doctor onsite and the echo was performed by an echo specialist, not a real doctor. Also, they sent another claim to our insurance company for dropping off a 24 hr holter monitor.
The claim indicated that he holter monitor was a "48" hour when in fact they did not even have a "48" hour and only a "24" hour and charged our insurance company for a "48" hour! Also, just for dropping off the "24" hour holter monitor at the front desk, they sent us another "$30" specialist co-pay which stated that we saw a Dr, Shahryar Mafi! Who the F*** is Shahryar Mafi?!?
I never even met that person ever in my life.? Did a follow-up appointment with my PCP as he advised me to go see him after I get my echo/holter done. My Dr. informed me that Carient care never provided the results over to his office. During my follow-up my Dr. had to contact Carient Care and they stated that the results were sent, when in fact this was false as the Dr. did not have anything from them!
Please beware if you go here you may end up paying for fake medical claims. I have submitted this information over to my insurance company Lastly, the billing department was so rude, very rude. I called them inquiring about the two co-payment bills that I received from them and the lady went off on me over the phone. I basically asked them why I received two bills from them for a special co-pay and to summarize what said over the phone, she basically said my insurance company sucks.
Oh how polite! Carient care sent a few unprofessional uncalled for fake medical claims over to my insurance company. Am I supposed to automatically pay these bills without contacting the billing department and asking them questions about the bills? Avoid this place! Places like this why the US medical system is corrupt and why we need a universal health care system ASAP!

I've been treated at the Manassas, Warrenton, and Gainesville offices by both Eric Thorn, MD, FACC and Chirag Sandesara, MD, FACC. Both physicians are highly educated and knowledgeable. They consistently treat me with the utmost professionalism and compassion. The office and clinical staff are a pleasure to work with and their offices are always clean, up-to-date, and accessible. I've been seeing two Cardiologists at Carient Heart & Vascular (formerly known as Virginia Cardiovascular Associates). Dr. Perrin is my primary care Cardiologist. I chose him after meeting him during my Mom's illness. He was my Mother's Cardiologist and my brother has visited him as well. I really liked Dr. Perrin the first time I met him.
He has a very thoughtful, caring way about him. I was impressed how he interacted with my Mother. So when I had some medical issues requiring a Cardiologist - I went to see him. Dr. Perrin is very skilled at what he does. I have a tremendous amount of confidence and trust in him. There needs to be more Doctors in the world like him! Dr. Perrin was recently named a "Rising Star" by Washingtonian Magazine's review of area medical professionals.

Everybody please help towards healthcare reform. I was told by my doctor I would need a nuclear stress test on my Heart. Received the referral and called Virginia Cardiovascular associates. They get back to me say I am covered but I will need to pay $1000 upfront in costs that my insurance will not cover. So I cancelled the appt. Please support Health care reform! Would not recomend them to need to have money upfront!
