Had a horrible experience with Dr. Karen Hammerman and her assistant. The appt felt very rushed, and the Dr. and her assistant were both RUDE, and CONDESCENDING. I have never felt more rushed at a doctors office like I did at my appt with Dr. Hammerman, she made me feel like she was doing ME a favor. Isn't the job of a doctor to HELP the patient? I looked forward to my appt. as I was expecting to leave with a solution to my problem and was looking forward to booking my next appt to start my treatment.
However in the end I had to walk out because the energy from HER just wasn't there. NOT welcoming what so ever, both Hammerman and her assistant need better training on how to speak to patients. It doesn't matter how many degrees you have, if you don't have class and manners. Only one start because her COLLEAGUE whom she bad mouthed in front of me was actually helpful.

You could not have a kinder front desk person than Shani She always has a bright hello and is very helpful not only to me but I see her interact kindly with all the patients. Yaro is the PA I see now and he is so knowledgeable and kind it's actually a pleasure seeing him. He has done several biopsies as gently as possible. Then I have seen Dr Connelly and Megan on many procedures.
Their expertise & kindness make my procedures so bearable. I'm very grateful for them. I know I have several more times to come but between Shani, PA Yaro, Dr Connelly & Megan it will be comforting. Thank you.

This is the most rudest dermatology place ever. The lady and front desk is beyond disrespectful when I was late. She canceled my appointment and when I asked to see the dermatologist to talk it out, she starts to laugh with a another lady. Horrible service. Especially the dark skin lady in the front. Do better wity your employees Schweigher

I am writing this review regarding my appointment with the PA, Mr. Artur Isakov on January 11, 2022 which was quite disappointing. When scheduling this appointment my intention was to leave with my prescription of Doxyclycline refilled. I have been a patient at this facility since 2017 and have been treated by Dr. Hammerman for hormonal cystic acne.
The last time I saw her for this issue was in November 2020 but was currently experiencing a flare up. I was told via patient portal messge by one of the medical assistants that I would need to make an appointment to have my prescription refilled. Because Dr. Hammerman's next available appointment was not until January 31st I decided to take the first possible appointment.
Not only did I cancel the religion class I normally teach on Tuesday nights, but I even hired a babysitter to watch my two children while I attended my appointment. I patiently waited for over an hour to be seen by Mr. Isakov. After examining me he insisted that I did not have hormonal cystic acne, and refused to refill my prescription. I kindly asked him to review my chart, and he said that it didn't matter.
It was his opinion that my break out wasn't bad enough for me to be placed on antibiotics. I calmly explained to him my medical history, and how my symptoms present themselves- I do not suffer from cluster break outs. I develop 1-2 large, painful cysts along my chin and jawline concurrently over the course of several weeks and don't go away until I take an antibiotic.
This is how I have been treated for the past five years! I went on to recount my past visits with Dr. Hammerman and once again asked him to review my records. Mr. Isakov continued to deny my requests and even offered to "pay for my babysitter" when I described the plans I had made to be present at this last minute appointment. Out of respect for his profession I did not argue, or challenge him.
I politely excused myself from the office and left feeling extremly upset and confused. The receptionist at the front desk saw how upset I was and kindly offered to refund my copay. Up until this appointment. I have only had wonderful experiences at this office. Dr. Hammerman has always been kind and attentive to my needs, and I have always valued the relationship I have had with her and the staff. Unfortunately, I was not the recipient of that type of bedside manner during my visit with Mr. Isakov.
I reached out to the office several times regarding my unpleasant experience, however it has been over a week and I have received no response. Next time I will wait to see Dr. Hammerman before I waste my time and be humiliated by Mr. Isakov ever again.

I took advantage of the Thanksgiving sale and purchased one Fraxel treatment at the virtual cosmetic consultation and scheduled the treatment for today. I again got a call at 9 this morning to confirm that I should get there by 12:30. I happened to double check with them that if I was prepaid. Then the lady told me that I had to schedule my treatment within one week of the purchase date in order to apply the Thanksgiving price, so I need to pay for the full price if I visit the office today or they can refund me.
I was never told by anyone about this; the consultant even suggested me to buy two treatments at that time, only I decided to buy one in the end. I asked if I can talk to the consultant again or anyone that can help because first of all I wasn't informed about the valid period at all, I already prepared everything for the treatment today, and I took the week off from work also for this.
The lady talked to the office manager real quick but the answer was still a cold no. They don't sound they care at all and they just can't wait to refund me and cancel my treatment. It's not just money, dear office manager; couldn't you be more considerate. I'm frustrated the service I have does not match that the one I purchased, and I requested days off so I can stay home while recovering. Now my plan for this week is ruined all of a sudden. If you think it's not your fault, it's also not my fault.

Greedy, greedy, greedy! I made an appointment with one of the doctors as a new patient. It took a while to get but I liked her when I saw her (dr. Rachel nazarian). After that, I couldn't get an appointment with her so they gave me someone else in a different location. When I got there I found out she was a physician assistant, not an MD. Recently I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Nazarian because the skin was peeling on my hands and I needed to see someone right away.
I was told there were no appointments for her for more than 90 days. I explained I was an existing patient and that on Zocdoc they were appointments for the next week available for her. Apparently she decided that if it's for cosmetic procedures (Insurance doesn't cover so she gets full cash payment) that she has lots of time but for existing patients who have insurance there are no slots.
I asked for the practice manager to call me back and no one called. What a sad, greedy practice! No concern for existing patients unless she can pocket the cash on profitable cosmetic procedures!

First time at Schweiger's dermatology on Friday was just absolutely fantastic! Soon as I walked in from the staff at front desk that directed me on how to proceed with enrolling etc. to the great Danielle that treated me! Loved the way how Dr. Daughtridge handled me with care and concern due me being a little worried. I definitely recommend her to everybody that's dealing with skin issues! She's very knowledgeable and care for her clients.

Wow is all I have to say. From the moment you enter the office till you walk out - the experience is amazing. The procedures I had weren't fun, however, the nurses and Danielle made me so comfortable that it made it so much more pleasant. I saw Danielle Daughtridge and she's incredible. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and she was honest about what I needed and what I didn't need. I'm so so happy with my results. The office staff was amazing too. I will be recommending Danielle to everyone I know!

I've been coming to Schweiger for years seeing Dr. Nazarian. I am genetically disposed to Melanoma and she takes every, single tiny speckle of a freckle on my body as seriously as I do. She's also great for cosmetic advice and procedures. She is my dermatological fairy godmother! Wait times in the office can run longer than anyone would typically like but I believe that's because the staff is truly taking the time to talk to their patients when in the exam rooms.
I just visited during NYC's Phase 4 reopening and felt so safe. I was the only one in the waiting room and safety protocol was #1 throughout the entire visit. Because appointments were spaced out I was seen right on time, too

Annie, the young lady at the front desk was very helpful for my first time visit when I had an issue with my insurance. I was in tears that I was not able to see the dermatologist bc I had an emergency. She was super helpful and made it possible for me to see the dermatologist without having to pay out of pocket. Lisa, the medical assistant, was friendly, funny & compassionate. It felt like talking to a friend. The dermatologist was also informative and was able to assist me on the journey to wellness. I recommend this location!
