Arrived at 730am for 740am appt, office was dark. Got in at 744am. Went here because I wanted to see an MD due to family history, they said you see an OD first, who decides if you need to see the MD (I mean why do in 1 visit what we can bill you 2 visits for, amirite?) I spent time with 2 techs who seemed to do everything an eye exam entails. The 2nd tech is who actually performed the exam. Spent the least amt of time with the OD out of the 3 people who rendered services to me. OD decides I do need a visit with the MD, can't get an appt til July. Funny, I was here just today for an appt. Made the appt for July but 98% sure I'm going elsewhere. Oh, and one really off putting thing were the "patient code of conduct" signs all over the office that basically say if you complain or you're critical of the practice, they'll ban you forever. Hence me airing my feedback here instead of with the provider. Honestly, I felt like I've gotten better service at strip mall eye care franchises.

While the doctor and her personal techs were great, the techs at the reception and who took in patients were terrible. They look miserable and sound miserable. When they speak to you, they have a condescending attitude. The tech who took in my father didn't pronounce his name right, so for a second I had no clue who she was calling for until I figured it out it was my father.
She didn't bother to ask if she pronounced the name correctly and I had to correct her which she rolled her eyes and shrugged. Then, we had to wait twenty minutes for the doctor to check my father's eyes before diluting them because for some reason his left eye appeared shallow. But it turned out the previous tech who checked my father's eyes had the machine tilted so that's why one of them looked shallow.
When the doctor checked his eyes again with the machine in its proper position, they looked fine. Twenty minutes had been wasted because the previous tech didn't notice the machine wasn't in its proper position. A lot of the patients I've seen are elderly and they shouldn't be treated in such manner. I don't feel comfortable returning to this establishment again with my father and will inform his primary doctor who referred us to this place.

Showed up half an hour early, just like any doctor office, to fill out any needed paperwork. First, they have a sign stating per NYS law, masks must be worn in alledical facilities. Odd. I went.to the cardiologist 2 weeks ago, and dentist last week, and masks were optionial but whatever. Then they said my cloth mask, the same style i have been wearing for 2 years now, all across the country is not acceptable.
And i needed some special mask. Ok. Whatever. The receptionist stated that she can't check.me in until 5 minutes before my appointment, and I would have to wait outside. Nope. Not gonna happen. It is 12 degrees out with a wind chill, and with gas $4/gal, I am not sitting in my idling car for half an hour. Time to find someone else.

Took my son because he was doing some squinting and heavy blinking. This is documented in his record as the reason for the visit but they didn't find anything wrong so the doctor wrote up the exam as a routine visit. Now my insurance won't pay the $289 bill! I called and asked if I could at least have a "self-pay" discount to help off-set the cost since it was an unexpected expense and I was told that they can't do this due to NY State Law.
This is simply untrue. I have had a provider before that did this for me when I had a surgery that was not covered by my insurance. I have also looked into this supposed "law" and there simply isn't one. Completely unwilling to work with me on this, despite the fact that it's their mistake that it was written up as a routine exam. They will now loose myself, my husband, and my son's future business.

I have seen several providers; Dr Contractor, Dr Rabady, and Dr. Zieker for several different issues. Theey are very specializes in thedifferentcareas of eye health. They are all very experienced and the care has been excellent. The staff technicians are all top notch- very qualified and caring. I have always felt extremely confident trusting the care of my eyesight to them.

I was first diagnosed with double vision in 2018. I was having trouble seeing and went to my regular Dr for a new set of glasses. he was very concerned and sent me for a CAT scan for a brain tumor and to a specialist, after a script for glasses with prisms. The scan came back clear fortunately. The new Dr saw me 3 times, did the same tests each time, talked mostly to her scribe that was putting data into the computer, instead of me, and I had to repeat myself each time when she did speak to me.
We were all lined up in hallways, waiting to be called. She finally patted me on my leg, and told me I was going blind, to get large print books, as I like to read. That was the last I saw of her. So I started the search for someone else. It is not easy. Double vision is not something that every eye doctor deals with. And I was very nervous after all of this.
So I tried another. The Doctor was very good. The front where they sell the glasses was a nightmare. He was rude, directing you to the most expensive pair of frames, didn't care about what you wanted, just wanted the sale. Than when my glasses came in, they went to the wrong store, instead of having them shipped to the right one, he wanted us to drive to them.
They finally came in, but were cracked and he told me to superglue them. I was about ready to tell him where he could stick his frames when another tech, took some off the wall switch my lens and fixed the situation. I paid very good money for all of this and one more time wondering where to next. Now, my husband, needed cataract surgery, and was sent to Ophthalmic Consultants of the Capital Region.
He met with Dr Zeiker and had the surgery done on both eyes just before the pandemic hit. The best part is he could see again. While he was there, I ask Linda at the desk, Clifton Park, if someone there knows about double vision. She set me an appointment but I had to wait for the pandemic to let up. Now I have a set of doctors that I have seen, and like very much that are dedicated to your eyes.
I have Dr Contractor that checks the double vision and is watching it. They think a fall I had when I hit my head caused the double vision. Answer at last! When it came time for new glasses they asked if I wanted to go back to my last place, I said no way. Dr Bianchi works with prisms. So they set me up, with a nice pair of glasses but the frames are not expensive ones.
It is refreshing after searching for almost 4 years, to find caring people, starting with the lady as you come in, to the ones as you exit. The staff, the techs, the Drs, the receptionists are truly a caring group of people in the 3 branches that I have been in. My Thanks to all, Dr Zeiker, Dr Feldman, Dr Contractor, Dr Bianchi, the other Doctors, the super techs, the rest of the staff, the Fantastic Receptionists

Recently, Dr. Robert Feldman performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes at Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center. For both surgeries, I felt well cared for and comfortable with the entire process from the initial consultation to the final post-op appointment. Thanks to the expertise of Dr. Feldman and the superb professionals at the Latham Eye Center, when I step outside my house, the distant views are once again clear, sharp and beautiful to behold.

My daughter was seen by George O. Stasior in the Albany office which I have to say my daughter came out crying. She has swollen eye lids that she has been dealing with for over a year now. She has been to urgent care and put on antibiotics with no relief. She went to the hospital last night and was given more antibiotics and told to be seen today as an emergency which the hospital stated they would be able drain them but this rude doctor told her "well you have been dealing with them for over a year so just continue to deal with them". HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I came here for my son today that has a scratch in his eye. Our appointment was at 3:00.it is 4:30 and I have seen 4 different people, techs, doctors, nurses, etc. Still have no solution and was just told by the front desk that most appointments here take 2 hours. Maybe you should stop overlooking and see you patients in time.absolutely ridiculous to wait around for 2 hours to be seen.

The whole experience at the Albany location was easy and efficient. They seem to get a lot more patients than other eye doctors, but I was seen quickly and given plenty of individual attention. Dr. Ebbing was great and so were all of the techs and assistants. Their system is sort of like an assembly line, where you get brought from room to room for different parts of the appointment.
They are highly organized, attentive, and super friendly, which is probably why the system works so well for them. Also, the coronavirus protocols are strict, which made me feel comfortable being indoors with a relatively large number of people. They also take most insurance plans and the glasses prices are fair.
