Homosassa Eye Clinic and Beverly Hills Eye Clinic both started as one exam room practices in 1989. From the beginning, it was our hope and goal to provide a unique and pleasurable experience for all of our patients. To us this means excellence in eye care, but we also care a great deal about you as an individual.
Optometrists specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision-many of which do not always have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for people both young and old. They understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses, both as eyeglass lenses and contact lenses.
Our staff will help you find the best fit for your specific needs and explain how different lenses and frames will impact your vision. They will help you narrow down your choices so you can find the look, fit and functionality you want from your eyewear. We offer a large selection of eyeglasses, contact lenses and designer frames and sunglasses.
The cost of routine eye exams and prescription eyewear can be of real concern, especially for large families. In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses. A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance. Regular health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease.

I have gone to nationwide eye doctors for years. IE. Doctors Value Vision, Vision World etc. I walked into the Homosassa Eye Clinic off the street. Was greated with a smile and had an appointment almost immediately. I could tell an immediate difference. Not the meat market I was use to. They took my blood pressure and asked questions about my diabetes that the other places had never even mentioned. You could tell it was about me and my eyes and not just the dollar. Great experience. I will return.

Great visit. The staff was polite and helpful, from the lady at the front desk to the lady who did the prelim before I saw the doctor. The doctor took time to explain all she did and showed me things through pictures of my eye on the computer that I had never been shown in visits to other eye clinics. I would highly recommend them.

I finally found my new eye dr. The staff is wonderful and Dr Newcomer and her son Dr Newcomer are great. I've seen them both and really like how they take the time to explain things to you and are very personable and professional. The office is nice and clean, the wait isn't that long, and the prices are pretty reasonable. I definitely recommend!

I'm a fairly new patient (2 visits), and I am so glad to find such a friendly, knowledgeable eye clinic close to me. Dr. Newcomer takes a lot of time with you, explaining what she is doing and answering any questions you may have. And she'll spend as much time with you as you need. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. I used to go to one of those national chains to get my eyes checked, and although they did a good job, you definitely felt like you were on a conveyor belt of patients. You're treated much differently (and mch better) here. As long as I live in this area, I always going to go to the Homosassa Eye Clinic.

Love the people here. From Dr Newcomer to the technicians, folks at the front desk, Cindy and Donna in the eyeglass department, the most engaged and helpful people I have experienced in any industry. I love to just go visit them and say hi when I can. I receive through examinations here and the eyeglasses are stylish, and I have no trouble with new prescriptions ever. Have had My eyes cared for here for years.

I have been a patient of Dr Newcomer for many years now and she is amazing! She knows her stuff! If I've ever had a question, she never hesitates to get back with me. She is very thorough and will be honest if she thinks you need to have another scan for glaucoma or other matters and doesn't suggest it just to make the $$. The best part is she remembers not only me but my entire family too!
My favorite part is picking out my new frames with Ms Cindy! She is such a sweetheart and is always willing to help me find something unique and oh so fitting for me! She knows I like color and pizazz and she gives it to me! Anytime I need an adjustment or a cleaning she is right there without hesitation! She even takes phone calls! The ladies at the desk are so sweet and are willing to help with any paperwork or insurance matter and are very knowledgeable with both! You can't go wrong with choosing this office! They are all great!
