Concussion, or traumatic brain injury resulting from a blow to the head, can create immediate and long-term concerns for patients. Concussion management involves both certified physicians and athletic trainers who can help diagnose and treat the injury and guide patients to recovery. Typically, concussions occur during high-impact sports such as football, falls, being struck by or against objects, and motor vehicle crashes. While most concussions are mild and resolve quickly, some can have lasting consequences such as concentration problems, headaches and depression.
Our feet are our foundation, and foot and ankle specialists ensure that we can walk and exercise without pain. Orthopaedic specialists and surgeons diagnose and treat foot and ankle problems due to sports injuries, wear-and-tear, and other conditions. We rely on our hands to grasp, feel and touch. Hand and wrist specialists understand that any kind of hand and wrist pain deeply interferes with quality of life.
At Premier Orthopaedics, we understand that your time is valuable. That's why we've made it easy for you to fill out your patient forms in advance of your appointment. Depending on your doctor, you will either automatically download a printable pdf of your patient forms that you can fill out and bring with you to your appointment, or you will be directed to an online patient form that you can fill out and submit.
Your good health is our priority. Our patients are like family, and the best part of our job is seeing them get back to doing what they love. If our comprehensive, compssionate approach to orthopaedic care is changing your life too, please let us know! Send an email to marketing@premierortho.com with your name and contact information. Today, I went for a follow up with Dr. Ruggerio after complaining of intense lower back pain. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM and I was not seen by Dr. Ruggerio until about 3:45 PM. I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes until I was called back with a nurse. 45 MINUTES! At 30 minutes, I asked the lady at the front desk if I was going to be called soon and she had said I was next. Unfortunately, that was not the case. 15 minutes went by and two more patients were taken back before I was eventually called.
It really felt that I was "just another patient" in that office. Dr. Ruggiero and the nurses were nice but compared to the time I waited to be seen, my appointment felt rushed. I work in health care and I completely understand what it may be like to have a schedule full of patients but to have patients waiting around for almost an hour is completely ridiculous. If you are considering coming here, expect a long wait.

I am in the parking lot writing this review. The receptionist with the London/English accent was rude and inefficient. 1. She took my Ins card, scan it gave it back. Returned 5 minutes later, says something is wrong with my card. I gave it back to her. She says the other card has the wrong number on it. It was the same card that I gave her in the first place. 2.
She came back and said the card is expired. How could it be when I got it in November and it's active. 3. I call the Ins company myself just to be sure it was active and I didn't need a referral.etc. I am active and do not need a referral. 4. I go to the same receptionist with the London/English accent and asked if she heard anything from my ins company.
She says the phone has been busy. She is currently not on the phone. I said well I just called my company and everything is fine. She says well we are waiting to hear back. I said did you call the benefit company, she says no, she called a different number. Then instead of asking for the card again or for the correct number she says well we have to hear back from the company before we can do anything. 5.
I immediately canceled my appt. They don't want my business and I will not give it to them. This is disgraceful and shameful. I will take my money and business elsewhere. The providers may be great but you have to get past a rude, inefficient, ineffective, lying and lazy receptionist.

First orthopedist I've been to in so long where I didn't feel talked over, ignored, dismissed, etc. Their staff is so amazing and friendly, they listened intently and didn't cut me off once assuming they didn't need to hear anymore of what I had to say. I saw Dr. Raab and he was amazing. Will definitely be back if I need to see an ortho in the future.

Dr Michener, is great. He told me how my 1 shoulder has a lot of arthritis, and the other, lots of micro tears and fraying. He opened up the 1, trimmed the innerds, and 2 plus years later the pain level is still very decreased, but the mobility is ever so much more increased. Now, I trust him with my knee. Orthovisc shots. Thanks also for explaining to me everything!

I am surprised by the negative YELP comments. I was greeted promptly by very kind and helpful front office staff, filled out my form and was called in for my appointment within minutes. I was seen by an excellent physician assistant, had x-rays taken by an awesome technician and seen within minutes by an incredible physician (Dr. Old). I was in and out of the office within 30 minutes and had an answer to my knee problem immediately.
I understand that most people do not take the time to write positive reviews.but I wanted to balance things out a bit and say what a very positive, professional and helpful experience I had. I would highly recommend Premier Orthopaedics!

Dr Miller is the best, he did surgery on both my feet at the same time and the fact that I can walk 10 miles without pain after 7 months from surgery it's amazing. The place is super clean and the staff and other doctors are really nice. Took me a while to find a doctor that's good but it was well worth it. Thank you Dr Miller

I would like to give the practice a higher score but when I tried to call to ask about a prescription that I was supposed to receive, I waited 44 minutes on the phone. I finally left a message and it was stated that someone would get back to me by the end of the business day - THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I tried again today and got in the queue and it was stated that there were 22 people ahead of me in line.
I work and can't sit on the phone waiting for them. Funny thing is that when I actually go to the office in West Chester, there are plenty of people sitting around not answering phones. Perhaps the office manager could look into better time management and use of employee time. I may need to re-consider the practice if I can't get through to them and tried for 2 days!

Dr. Tantorski is the best. He promised he would take away my back pain and he did. The treamant and care I received from him was top notch. When I went in for my consult he took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure I was comfortable with the decision I was making. As in any doctors office, I did have to wait past my scheduled appointment time but I believe that is becuase Dr. Tantorski is trying to provide everyone with the best care he can.

My experience was not only frustrating but infuriating as well. I met a doctor at Premier Orthopedics after experiencing great deal of pain and limited mobility in my right hip for a little over a year. I explained my issue, that I had osteomyelitis as a child, as well as my need to find some semblance of relief with my upcoming travel work schedule at which time the doctor reviewed my radio graphic scan and diagnosed the issue and that surgery was imminent.
He was able to see all of this from the x-ray. The doctor decided that an injection would be a good first course at which time I agreed to do so even though I would still require surgery. Prior to my injection I was informed that once I received the shot, I would not be able to have a surgical procedure for at least three months post injection, at which time I spoke to my doctor and reiterated my work/travel schedule and that a three-month delay would severely curtail my job responsibilities.
The doctor was not pleased with me delaying the scheduled injections for the day, and I proceeded with the procedure. I experienced approximately an hour of relief and subsequently the pain returned at which time I contacted the office for an appointment. After explaining to the doctor that I experienced limited/short-lived relief, the doctor displayed disbelief and suggested giving it time and scheduling another injection in a few months.
The doctor gave me a script to have an MRI done. I had the MRI scan and knew that I needed to seek out another doctor. I desperately sought a second opinion at which time, the new doctor informed me that not only did I need a hip replacement but that the ball of my hip joint was collapsing and I had severe asteonecosis. He could see exactly what was going on with my hip from the x-ray and the MRI and explained that my condition required expeditious attention.
My new doctor scheduled immediate surgery, not knowing just how bad it was once he got in there and I am currently three weeks out and recovering well. Had this surgery been put off much longer, there could have been serious consequences. To this day, I have not heard a word from the Premier doctor.

Run run run (or hobble) to another Dr. Don't get me wrong, I'm not disputing their ability to care for patients. I liked the Dr and staff. The issue Is I waited!90 minutes! to see him then spent 10 minutes with him. To make matters worse, there was a 10+ minute wait to check out. Literally. WTH?! Never again

Horrible experience. I made an appointment for 8am. I made sure that I faxed all of my paperwork and insurance info ahead of time. They called to push my appointment to 9. When I arrived at 8:45 I was asked to fill duplicate form that I had already faxed them. I waited till 9:35 to be brought to an exam room where I waited another 20 minutes without being seen.
I went to the front desk to let them know I had to leave instead of just walking out. When I finally was able to get someone's attention, I told them I had to leave, they said "ok", didn't ask me to reschedule or even my name. When I got to my office at 10:30, I called to reschedule, they didn't even know I left.

Went for a nerve conduction study and had one of he worst medical experiences I've ever had. Rude office staff, they sent me to the wrong location in their appointment confirmation message, and charged me for a service they ultimately never provided. When I finally got to the correct office I waited over an hour past my early morning appointment.
The test was conducted. However, they never sent the results to my surgeon. I would call the office to get them to send to my surgeon - and no one would call me back. I ended up finding their fax number and faxing my request - and still, no one called me back. I went to my surgical consult appointment and they had nothing from Premier. My surgeon actually had to call the office and in the end - what they sent through was unusable.
The study measures a specific set of values that explains where the nerve damage is. The surgeon uses this information to understand which nerves are being impacted and plans his surgical approach accordingly. The Dr. who did the study, did NOT write down these values, but rather simply wrote down his overall impression. Which made the test I paid for utterly useless and put me in the position of being operated on without clear data. BAD medicine. Ultimately, after I sent a very strongly worded letter, the office manager called me, agreed with everything I said, and refunded the cost of the procedure.
I also ended up reporting them to the state. I shared my experience with other patients at my Physical Therapy place and other patients and therapists had heard similar stories about this office. Do yourself a favor - find another place.
