I got LASIK last month and it has changed my life. If you're interested in LASIK read here to learn all about how I finally made the decision! The condition I had was called GPC, short for Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis. From my understanding of GPC, I had little bumps underneath my top eyelids caused by inflammation from my contacts.
Freedom from the hassles of glasses and contacts is something many people think about on a daily basis. If you wear visual aids, you may already know how frustrating they can be. LASIK is a laser vision correction procedure that provides you with the visual freedom you've always wanted. Here at Carter Eye Center, Dr. Carter performs LASIK and changes our patient's lives!

I was late due to traffic. However, the reception I received was as though I was on time, there was no dirty looks or looks of inconvenience or there was a problem. The staff was very kind. They were happy to see me, they were busy but efficient and very friendly. They were worth the traffic and parking head ache! Dr Carter is a Maverick fan, and so am I so, we got along very well!

Regarding Carter Eye Care Most importantly, Dr. Carter was able to overcome multiple complications and provide me with good vision results with my cataract surgery, even though I had been given a poor prognosis by multiple doctors. I am very pleased with the results. The office staff are fully competent and many are very personable. David Perez, the practice manager, is a delight and always makes me feel valued and welcome. I absolutely recommend Carter Eye Care.

Very disappointed with carter Eye center. I set appointment with regular annual eye exam. I told the front desk it is regular exam I want to just pay copay. One month later, I received bill with medical procure and reflection with extra charge. I called representative, they said they will investigate and call back. But I never received call back

Staff was polite but this place has no concept of time. Our first appointment took about 3 hours. Mostly in waiting room. Second appointment which was day of surgery appointment was moved from 9:30 to 11:30 and then we waited for almost 2 hours before having procedure when we were told would only be there about an hour. so that appointment total time was over 2 and half hours.
And on top of that it was advertised on radio that for First Responders "ALL" Lasik surgery will be $2020 if scheduled before end of year and that was a lie. They charged $2999 and said because of her "Lazy" it is different! So much for honoring first responders

Customer service was great! Finished consultation and met insurance representative who informed me insurance fully covered procedure. I met my oop and scheduled appointment. I was told wait for her to make copies.20 min passed : then she said oh the insurance doesn't cover the machine used to break up cataract. You will need to pay $2000.

Please do not allow the reviews below fool you. First of all this place has provided nothing but excellent service, we have always been politely greeted and welcomed. Second of all, they make sure the patient is comfortable at all times and answer ALL of my questions (because I always have plenty) communication has not been an issue at all with this facility, we have had several post op appointments just to make sure all is looking great (we were informed we had unlimited free post op appointments for the first year for the service we received).
Last but not least, ALL staff members have been highly informative to us and professional at all visits and during all phone calls. So to say the least, If you were looking for a sign to convince you to book a appointment with Carter Eye Center, this is it. I highly recommend them.

I honestly do not know why I am writing this review. In 1988 I was 15 years and diagnosed with glaucoma due to a childhood injury. It was difficult for us to find a doctor that would take my case because of my age and the situation. I honestly don't remember how long Dr. Carter had been in practice at that time, but he took my case. He and his staff were AMAZING!
For 4 years Dr Carter was my lifeline(next to my mom). At times I was in his office 6 days a week, and few times on a Sunday. I had no sight in the eye he was trying to save but he worked with every thing in him so that I would not loose the eye itself. It is hard to find dedication like that! P.s. I am the reason he started going gray at a young age.lolol Sincerely, Shirley K Whiddon If for some insane reason he hears of this, say Hi for me

Doctor spoke to me about my eyes like I was a physician too, cmon man. Talk in layman's terms, I'm a patient not a optometrist. Ordered my contacts to be send to my home. Waited the instructed 7 business days and nothing. Called them on day 8, it was at their at their office. Thanks for letting me know ahead of time. Not what I paid for. When I went to pick the contacts up from Carter eye center.
They gave them to me however, it would be helpful if they put stickers on their contact boxes indicating what is for the left eye vs right. Do not go here, the service sucks.
