My goal is to take time to listen to my patients in order to provide and preserve their best possible vision. Marjorie K. Warden, M.D., is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She is on the staff at the Snowden River Surgery Center.
Dr. Etter completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Duke Eye Center and then did a fellowship in cornea and external disease at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida, which is consistently rated the best eye hospital in the country. Since 2012, Dr. Etter has been on faculty at Krieger Eye Institute in Baltimore, where he has earned numerous awards including the Resident Teaching Award as well as the All-Star Champion of Care Award (a designation given to physicians who demonstrate the highest level of patient-centered care).
In the eye, the natural lens focuses light rays on the retina to produce an image. At birth, the lens is clear. With time, the lens starts to get cloudy and obstruct light. This cloudy lens is known as a cataract and can diminish vision. Cataracts are diagnosed during a complete eye exam by your physician at Physicians Eye Care Center.
Screening or routine eye health examinations serve to diagnose previously undetected vision disorders that can potentially threaten one's vision. As part of a routine eye health exam, our doctors examine your eyes to assess your vision, determine the need for glasses as well the general health of your eye.

I brought my son in for an eye appt & I didnt realize they weren't a pediatric eye doctor so my son was having a harder time with the eye exam when the tech examined him. So here i am thinking we wouldn't get an accurate eye exam & would have to be referred to a pediatric eye doctor, delaying him from getting glasse. But when we got in the room with the doctor, she did a special test on him & got the eye measurements we needed. I love how she accommodated him. Great service!

Had a great experience! Dr Warden is very knowledgeable and caring. She showed a genuine interest in my overall eye health and answered all my questions. Brian, who tested my eyes was also very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Physicians Eye Care Center for all famly members, no matter their age.

I called to get a copy of my rx from several years ago, yet they refused, saying I had to come in for a new eye exam, to which I complied. I filled out the 4 pages of forms, and told them I had united health care, and they said that it should cover the visit. Using the new rx, I purchased a new pair of glasses, and when they arrived, I couldn't see out of the right eye well at all, and felt like I was underwater.
After a hassle trying to return the new glasses, I got a bill for 200$ saying my insurance won't cover the visit. Finally, I called asking for my original request, my old rx from several years ago, to which they finally sent over (the front desk seemed to not care less that the new exam had given me a bogus rx). So, I'm out 200 bucks for basically nothing but wasted time. Don't go here.

For a simple eye exam it's a great place. Doctor visit was good and was nice so were the technicians, the front staff could use some customer service training and maybe some friendly pointers on being welcoming. But do not buy your glasses here, they were extremely reluctant to show me frames that my insurance would cover, was told " oh you won't like any of them anyway, they are put way in cases in boxes" THEN they tried to sell me $480 pair of eyeglasses that I would have to pay for. I saw it a way to completely take your money, no help with budget concerns. I left with my prescription and I will find somewhere else to buy eyeglasses.

Very friendly and professional. They diagnosed my eyes and when I finally got insurance and a new set of glasses they were a perfect match for my vision diagnosis. Couldn't afford their glasses even with insurance but prescription with no line bifocals were great when I got them from on line in a virtual try on site. For the glasses.

After Dr. Wexler said it would take 15-20 minutes to dilate my eyes I said but sir then I should have been called back because my appointment was at 10:10. He then said he's not going to argue with me. I have been here for an hour already. So I'm arguing simply because I'm question what is taking so long and the letter did not state I was going to get my eyes dilate so I didn't know the letter never stated that nor did it state a lot out an hour or two hours for this particular appointment.
But I guess cause I was a black women and actually question what going on instead of an inquiry of the time I have been there it's an argument. Then said if I can't stay I would just have to come back and do it all over again as if he was threatening me. Then I guess to be smart probably because of my color and the fact I inquired he called me in only to dilate my eyes for a second time.
Now I'm no eye doctor but I never heard nor had a doctor dilate my eyes twice. Then on top of it all try to talk down to me. Never will i go back horrible experience. The receptionist however was very nice.
