Services
The practice was founded in 1940 by William Sawyer Eisenstadt, M.D., one of the nation's founding fathers of modern allergy practice. Dr. Eisenstadt retired in 1991, after more than 50 years in the specialty. Each physician at EAA has had thorough training and years of experience in the field of allergy and immunology.
An accurate diagnosis is important to determine your individualized treatment program. During your first visit to EAA we will conduct a comprehensive physical history, environmental history and physical examination. Based on our findings, laboratory tests such as blood counts and lung function testing may be obtained.
Allergies come in a wide variety. They are often classified according to where they produce symptoms: skin, respiratory tract (nose, lungs). Or their causes: insect stings, foods, medicines. The normal reaction of our body to invasion by foreign substances is to defend itself. This is the role of our immune system.
Providing you with the latest and up-to-date information about the factors that impact your health is our goal. Allergies control your life and having reliable, accurate and timely information can help you manage your symptoms better. Another website that provides valuable information is the National Allergy Bureau that provides you with accurate information about pollen and mould count from approximately 75 counting stations across the United States. The NAB currently provides the most accurate and reliable pollen and mold counts from approximately 69 counting stations throughout the United States, three counting stations in Canada.

Needed to schedule an appointment with an allergist at the recommendation of my dermatologist earlier this year after some pretty serious skin reactions and positive results on a standard patch test. At the time I scheduled the appointment, I told them it was for skin allergies and that I was coming after a patch test and many blood tests to rule out other conditions.
I was told to wear a tank top and be prepared for further skin testing. The front desk lady was rude when I checked in. The nurse collecting my history and stats was delightful and she is the only reason I didn't call and demand to get my money back at the time. Ultimately the doctor told me that skin allergies weren't real and that I needed to have further blood tests to rule out more serious health conditions and try to get an appointment with another dermatologist (good luck, they were all booked and had no dermatitis specialty). Also, he seemed to be more preoccupied with my weight (which several other physicians I saw for this were not) than anything else.
I understand that weight can contribute to health concerns, but after finding a different Dermatologist (not related to this doctor's referrals) who specializes in skin allergies/dermatitis I was able to find answers - turns out it's related to occupational exposure and heredity. If this clinic does not support skin allergies, they SHOULD NOT have taken the appointment from the beginning. Very disappointed, I thought it was just me, but after talking to a friend who had also had a similar experience here, I decided to leave a review.
