Various filler substances may be injected into the lips, deep creases, or folds of the face to create a fuller or more youthful appearance. Many times the use of these fillers can soften the "parenthesis" lines at the sides of the mouth (the melo-labial folds), and replace some of the volume that is lost in the normal aging process.

Because even the most successful surgical procedures cannot correct all of the signs of aging that time and the environment have caused on the texture, coloration, and quality of the facial skin, we recommend the use of a Retin-A based skin therapy regimen for many of our patients. Although The Newbury Center specializes in cosmetic facial plastic surgery procedures such as the facelift, browlift, blepharoplasty, and rhinoplasty, Dr. Alsarraf also performs a wide range of general facial plastic surgery procedures, such as mole removal, earlobe reduction, earring hole repair, septoplasty, and minor cosmetic surgery procedures. Most of these procedures take less than an hour and are performed in either the office or an out-patient hospital setting.
