Also known as blepharoplasty, eyelift or eyelid lift, eyelid surgery is a procedure that improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, making you look more rested, happier and rejuvenated. We only have two upper and two lower lids but the possible approaches to rejuvenating the lids are more than two.
Lower blepharoplasty also known as eyelift or eyelid lift, is a procedure that improves the appearance of the lower eyelids, making you look more rested, happier and rejuvenated. As we age the skin of the lower lids becomes thinner and accumulates sun damage (it is not a surprise that more than 85% of the eyelid cancers grow in the area of the lower lids).
Blepharoplasty is the procedure that improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, making you look more rested, happier and rejuvenated. The use of carbon dioxide laser for eyelid surgery has certain advantages over the traditional "cold knife" approach. Laser can be used to incise the skin in a very controlled fashion that results in a "bloodless" surgical field.
The upper lids, the creases, folds, muscles and fatty tissue in Asian patients are anatomically obviously different than in Caucasian patients. If specific attention is given to all these details the surgery can have excellent results and not change the ethnic character of the eyelids. If the Asian patient chooses to westernize eyelids, it can be performed successfully and tastefully. This change to the upper eyelid makes it easier to apply makeup and is considered to be a desirable aesthetic appearance in many Asian cultures.
The level, shape and contour of men's eyebrows and eyelids are different than women's. Men have heavier facial muscles and thicker skin. Cosmetic eyelid surgery for men must be evaluated and performed in a very specific fashion, giving attention to their specific needs. Dr. Glavas has uses his own customized techniques to perform eyelid surgery in men in a manner that provides effective, natural looking, long-lasting results.

My care was excellent! I was seen emergently for eye trauma, with a referral from a hospital Emergency Dept. It was a Saturday afternoon. Dr Glavas did a wonderful job of keeping me calm, while he repaired multiple issues in and around my eye. Dr Glavas delivers highly skilled care and he has a great bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone with an eye issue or injury. My injury healed with no residual problems, thanks to his care.

I had eyelid surgery in 2019 and was very happy with the results from then to now. Dr. Glavas and his staff are wonderful, caring and experienced. One of my main concerns when having this surgery was the infection rate. I had no infection issues. If I have any further surgery I will certainly return to Dr. Glavas. He's the best!

Dr. Glavas diagnosed a benign neoplasam of my right orbit and performed Anterior Orbitotomy surgery above my right eye. He is a fabulous microsurgical specialist with a wonderful bedside manner.
