If there were a negative number to assign to this practice, I would. We moved to the area in late 2021, and my new health insurance, United Healthcare, listed Dr. Judith Kinzy at this practice as an in-network provider accepting new patients. I have had no need for care until this morning. I have battled a brutal cough and sore throat for 24 hours, and I have a history of this being Bronchitis that becomes pneumonia.
As most professional medical practices do have a few walk in appointments for ill patients without an appointment, I visited this practice at 10am today. I was polite, wore a mask, and I asked the receptionist if there were openings for walk in patients. This was the most rude, bitter, little troll of a woman. She rolled her eyes at me, told me "this isn't some walk in clinic", and told me that United Healthcare was in error and they have not been accepting new patients for a year.
I assured her I could pay, and told her I understand that they are not available. I asked for a referral to a trusted ER or Urgent Care since we are new to town, and she was dismissive. My husband was waiting in the car and was livid. We have means and are accomplished people, but that woman looked at me in my sweatpants, tangled hair, no makeup and no jewelry and treated me as if I were indigent.
The physicians and staff at this practice need to know how people are treated upon entering their office. I will be filing complaints with UH and every board and resource available. Shame on this practice. We drove to AFC Urgent Care, and I was treated with care and professionalism by Nurse Deanna, PA Congress and the front desk staff. I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care on Campbell Station in Farragut. Regards, Lauren Ruehring

I love Dr. Barnett. I have never had any problems with the office. In fact, I had a problem coordinating care from another office and the office manager was very kind to call me, talked to me multiple times for much longer than the average person would and helped me get the information I needed. If I ever have a question or concern, I send a portal message and Dr. Barnett herself usually responds very quickly, typically within the same day.
She listens to me, is compassionate and supportive. I had a difficult time finding out what was causing my health problem and she said, "Well, I am not going to give up on you. If we can't find help or learn anything from this specialist, We will keep going and fighting until you do." That meant so much to me and it is great to have a doctor who is invested in your care. I've never felt rushed. Good doctors with good staff aren't always easy to find. I'll be sticking with her for as long as she's there.

I'll start by saying the Doctors are not the problem, but how the office is run is very poor. Specifically, I had a 3:30 appointment, which I made on time. It was after close of day when my Doctor came into the room I was in. The reason I know it was after hours is, when he opened the door the lights were out and only he and I were there. That's poor! Also, you had better get written prescriptions and not have them called in. The staff there aren't interested any patient needs.

I have tried numerous times to call and speak with someone about a medication refill that was never called in last week while i was in the office and submitted the proper paperwork like it was supposed to be only to be redirected to a medication refill voicemail. I do not recommend this office to anyone especially if you would like to actually talk to a real person and not leave a message on a machine. This isn't the first time this has happened.

Horrible. Doctors lie and are not interested in treating you. Had blood work done and never got the results. No call, no mail, nothing. Called to get results and was forwarded to answering machine during business hours. And you better call if you can't make an appointment because they'll charge you if you don't. Won't be back. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND A GOOD DOCTOR THESE DAYS!
