Please Note: We remain fortunate among family planning providers that although the Massachusetts buffer zone has been eliminated, our patients can enter our facility through our driveway without having to confront protestors and park in our private parking lot. If there are no spaces, you can be dropped directly at the front door and the guard will valet park your car for you. We also have a private discharge area. We will do what we can to help you avoid any unsolicited interchanges with protestors.

Vaginal Bleeding after an abortion is perfectly normal. The amount of bleeding varies from woman to woman. Some women have little to no bleeding, while others bleed lightly up until their first period (four to eight weeks after the procedure). It is not uncommon to have no bleeding for the first few days after your procedure and then to begin moderate to heavy bleeding 3-5 days later. Most of the time, this increase in symptoms is related to increased activity and can be resolved by restricting the level of activity and resting.

Highly recommend this place! Everything I read online made me so anxious, but the actual procedure and post op were incredibly easy. Personally, it was less painful than my regular period with no cramping or bleeding after. I was 7 weeks and chose the surgical abortion with IV sedation which I was very happy with. Got an ultrasound, counseling, changed into a hospital gown, got an IV, fell asleep and woke up sitting in a chair with a heating pad on my lap. Very easy, quick, and painless!

From the moment you arrive and speak with security until the moment you are ready to head out everyone is professional, helpful, and pleasant. Staff makes you feel right at home. For a better experience in regards to other reviews I'd recommend having someone drive you to and back. Also, bring a pair of headphones in case there's protesters you'd like to tune out.

Wasn't given any antibiotics or pain meds that actually helped. Called the next day with a terrible pain but it was dismissed. I managed to call an Uber to go to the ER. I ended up hospitalized for 4 days and had surgery performed for a blood clot. It was the most traumatic experience I've had and never got a call back from them.

This was my first ever medical procedure with anesthesia, I was an anxious wreck coming into WHS. After being greeted by the warm receptionist and speaking with the counselor I was put at ease. I received excellent care from every staff member that I came in contact with. I'm leaving with a sense of relief and empowerment. Thank you so much for making me feel safe, supported and comfortable during one of the most distressing times of my life. I am so grateful for all that you do.

Terrible Terrible experience. Quite traumatizing to say the least. Everything was going smoothly until the time for the actual abortion came. After waiting almost 4 hours, my turn finally came. I had no choice but to do the local anesthesia because no one could come with me. I have a very high drug tolerance so it literally did NOTHING for me. I felt EVERYTHING. it was excruciating.

I vividly remember being shushed instead of comforted in a moment of such intensity. My body was trembling uncontrollably and I could not stop crying. It was like my body was in shock. After not having been able to drink or eat anything for 12 hours, I asked for water and was denied it. Only to ask another doctor how long I would have to wait and was told immediately. Horrible Communication.

I was in the recovery room for less than 20 minutes because I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Never ever ever again. A RIDE WAS NEVER OFFERED TO BE ARRANGED FOR ME. & THE PAIN WAS NOT THE ONLY FACTOR OF MY BAD EXPERIENCE HERE. LET THAT BE KNOWN. THE STAFF WAS UNPROFESSIONAL POST PROCEDURE.

I highly recommend this facility if you are seeking to terminate your pregnancy. The place is easy to find, there is a parking lot which is rare in and around Boston. There is security when you first walk in, the security officers are very nice and professional. When you walk in you are greeted by the receptionist who was so nice. Everyone on the staff seems friendly.

After the horrible experience my daughter had at another place my daughter literally ran out of the other facility where she was seeking a termination. She was deathly afraid to seek further treatment, there was nothing I could do to reassure her that not all clinics are the same. Everyone at Women's Health was very nice and patient with her, my daughter was afraid when she walked in the clinic they were able to calm her fears and she walked out of there after her treatment thankful she went there.

Everyone in the facility from the person I first interacted with (which was the security guard) was very professional and courteous. All the assistants and Dr. and Nurses were very kind and professional, as well as informative. My first ultrasound tech was very nice, and the procedure room nurse was very helpful at putting my nerves to ease. Thank you all so much for your help and professionalism.

I was very reluctant to post this review but I have been thinking about it for awhile and want to make sure that everyone facing this decision knows all of their options. Last semester I got pregnant because I didn't know antibiotics would make my birth control pills not work. I have always supported women's rights but never imagined in a million years I could be in this situation but me and my boyfriend are college students in different states and having a baby isn't possible right now unless we quit.

It is very sad and embarrassing but I needed this option. I called this clinic and it was so long and frustrating. I think the girl answering the phone was trying to be sweet but she was very pressurey and very pushy and condescending. I repeatedly told her that this needs to be very private and confidential but she didn't listen and kept pressuring me to tell my mom (so I could use my parents' insurance) and my friends (so they could drive me to the clinic) I kept saying that I'm doing this on my own and she kept telling me they would understand.

The website says they have financial assistance but that is only if your insurance won't pay for these services not if you need insurance privacy. She also asked me a lot of medical questions and terms that I didn't understand and was condescending when I didn't understand. Not everyone is a doctor or nurse! She also tried to bully me into have the anesthesia which I did not want and when I was trying to ask about the awake abortion or the medication pill abortion she was very vague and medical and scary, I still didn't know what to expect.

She also said they make you go to a follow up visit with them or another doctor and pay for that too. And I wanted the mireena iud since my birth control pills didn't work and she said you need to wait weeks and the only birth control I could get is the pills or patch or depot shot (which you would have to go to a pharmacy and pick up and bring with you and can make you gain weight which I didn't want).

She also made me feel like I was doing the wrong thing by doing this on my own and that it would take days to recover. My boyfriend found another abortion doctor's office called Health Quarters and I wasn't going to call because they aren't in Boston but other people wrote nice reviews and also we really liked their website. When I called them they transferred me to their abortion nurse manager and she was so kind and helpful.

She made me feel smart and listened too. She clearly and simply explained my abortion type options and helped me choose what I needed. She even helped me with a law called the patch law that means you can make your insurance not tell your parents so I could use my insurance. After talking to her I was so much less scared and decided to borrow my friend's car. Im am so glad I drove to Healthquarters.

It is very private and beautiful and clean, feels like a regular doctor's office visit. The lady who scheduled me remembered me and came and held my hand because I was still nervous. They have nitrous oxygen gas which helps you relax and zone out, but it wears off right away (10-15minutes) so you are ok to drive yourself home. The abortion did hurt but only for a few minutes and the doctor was so knowledgeable and kind, she even wore a Wonder Woman scrubs shirt which they said she wears every day.

I think that all of the Healthquarters ladies are wonder women, haha. She even put the mireena in right after the abortion and I barely noticed it. It took me about 50 minutes to drive back to my college but I'm so glad that I did and it was so worth it. It is in a town called Beverly. I hope it isn't rude to write about another abortion doctor's office on here but I want to help women and girls like me.

Some people may like to be asleep and can't go to Beverly and some people may like this Women's Health. I just think that women should get to choose to have an abortion and should get to choose WHERE to have the abortion too. No matter where you go to get this done you will be ok in the end.
