I don't think this hospital even cares to hear patients concerns. It has become a huge billing machine.

On May 6th I had a D&C performed at Baptist Hospital in Miami. The tissue was to be biopsied to determine if I have endometrial cancer. Through the incompetence of a staff member, all of the tissue was lost, leaving me with no possibility of a diagnosis. Five weeks later, not only has the hospital not had the decency or professionalism to contact me to apologize and take responsibility for their gross negligence, but they brazenly lied to my surgeon, claiming they had spoken with me about the matter. I will make it my mission to ensure the community is aware that the leadership at Baptist is not only negligent, but lying cowards.

When My wife arrived at the emergency room area they took a long time to transfer her as an inpatient even though She had a massive headache when they finally transferred her to the neurology department at room 2222 She developed hiccups which it could be neurological related. The nurse with the name Claudia ext 48410 stated " there is no treatment for it " keep in mind I am not a doctor but it could be related to her headache, the lack of communication is unbelievable the neurologist came really early and and he was excellent evaluating my wife but the staff they just took their time assisting us.

In addition. If a person comes with a headache and there is construction in her window with the drilling and pounding did not contributed to my wife well being, not to mention the view of debris is unbelievable, not bedside manner from nurse Claudia overall I am very disappointed with the experience.

I just called the Baptist health system telephone line. I was waiting to leave a message for my doctor. Instead after 17 minutes on hold I lost the music and then the call hung up on me. I think it is pretty ridiculous for one of the best hospitals in this country to have a telephone system that is so in adequate that patients cannot even leave messages.

We typically have very good situation s and experiences with this hospital and our doctors, however, the telephone monitoring system to make and change appointments or to try and get in touch with your doctor has never been a good experience.

Good morning the hospital is about outside image than care. Let me explain my mother went in on Monday via er was rated but the physician never came to speak to us with results she was admitted to 5 th floor had some good nurses Mariela, Hugo some of the ones that were good but others like Gloria omg it bother her for us to ask anything her attitude was of indifference she really should rethink her career than the physician dr Del Valle never came to see her never no update on her plan of care no information on her plan of discharge it is like communication at this hospital is not part of there process.

I truly question the question ay business is done for patients when you see 9 or 10 pm patients being discharged which I witness as I left every evening. As to cleaning wait left me share her bed sheets where not changed in a week and cleaning every day that I went her waste can was filled or they never came to pick up. The overall experience not good it a shame that a hospital that claims such good patient care we experienced this. I call the nurse supervisor I called the charge nurse I called for administration nothing never did I get a call back.

Guys. don't come here. Came in with swollen knee, entire leg discolored. X-rays only. no fractures. Dr tells Me odds are acl tear and meniscus tear, but we can't do mris in the hospital. Wrong medication list on chart, despite me showing them medication list. Wrong weight by 30lbs. Computer system doesn't work. Didn't ask me for insurance. Now I have to run around as he referred for surgery and ortho dr, 2 doors down. Splint up my leg with wrong splint. Better off at a veterinarian!

The Hospital is horrible, please don't bring someone that has never been treated for Cancer to this Hospital. I brought my father with lung cancer to this hospital thinking it was the best. Guess what wrong thinking my dad is now dead thanks to the staff and the doctors in the hospital I am not talking about the cancer center I am talking about the Hospital.

I am now destroyed for making the stupid decision of bringing him to this hospital. Never again will do that I will never deal with Baptist hospital Again. The point of going to the hospital is trying to do everything to save a life not let the life go wasted. There new jobs is to let people die they do nothing good anymore this hospital is not what it used to be.

I am writing this review for people not to go through the pain that I went through. If you have a father and a mother daughter a sister whoever don't take them to Baptist for cancer as an emergency take them to another hospital like UM their point is to do everything possible to save a life Baptist doesn't have the mentality.

I'm really surprised with the overall rating of Baptist Hospital. I had a great experience here. The staff was very courtyand helpful and the emergency room department was very clean. Even the public bathroom was clean. I am glad that they are keeping everything clean with Covid going around. The wait in the ER was not very long before my mom got a room. Overall, I'm very pleased with the experience.

I love the employees here, both at BHM and MCI. Always a pleasure to deal with. Quality personnel and not the trash you get at other hospital systems.

Anyone who is admitted with Covid will be given REMDISIVIR and put on a ventilator! REMDISIVIR will cause multi-organ FAILURE. Your loved will not make it. Stay away. My friend's husband just went through that. They've been doing that for almost two years. Early treatment saves lives. Beat the virus with Quercetin, Zinc, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D3. Dr. Zelenko online has protocols on his website.

Be sure to stock up. If you have an honest doctor, he/she can write a prescription for Iver*mec*tin or *hydroxychloro*quine in place of the Quercetin. Pray for God's discernment through this evil that is dominating our country right now.

If you or your loved one would like to be treated like a number and not a person, this is the place for you. My dad was dying and they would not allow his grandchildren to say goodbye because they are minors. The amount of stress and heartache caused to our family cannot be put into words. They are like robots. They simply do not care. In addition, the doctors and nurses are not very knowledgeable and are not consistent. The lack of knowledge and professionalism is beyond comprehension. Stay away from this absolute disgrace of a hospital.

Came to bring my girlfriend to get her covid shot, which by the way they're forcing her to get, and only one elevator was working. There was a line of over 50 people deep. Walked 7 and 9 flights of stairs respectively. By the way it's been like this for 2 days. Place is a joke, no wonder the ceo is leaving.

If I could give the place a zero I would. The whole Institution is a disgrace to the medical community.

So many things wrong with the standard of care in this hospital. Let's start by the risk of falls which is extremely disturbing. The nurses hands are tied and there are no resources in which the hospital uses to assist with getting sitters for patients at risk. My father almost fell many times and they had no answers except that the are severely understaffed and that the sitters are basically not available.

The handoffs from one shift to another are incomplete and the patients are not getting the care followed through. From the charge nurses, resource nurses on up it's a disaster. Shame on you Baptist Hospital and Patricia Rosello and administration for letting it get this bad! I can't even find an email address for the CEO Patricia Rosello to be able to write her. My family will never be back and my friends will be advised not to either.

Once again at this hospital.emergency room. I would love to know who thinks of the idea that is better to have people milling around at the entrance of the emergency room instead of inside where the area is bigger and people can really spread out. Instead family members are standing on top of each other waiting to get in because obviously you are there because you brought a love one for an emergency of some kind.

Be assured this is a terrible idea, you are not doing anything great by having people stand outside with only two benches and the flow is steady, while people could be inside leaving space between chairs and sitting and not loitering the front of an emergency room. Whose great idea was that? You are literally creating a bigger problem due to the incoming and the waiting people.

I love to know when the world is going to start using their brain again? At this hospital by trying to avoid something you are literally without doubt creating a bigger problem that shouldn't be there if you simply do business as usual. And before you say is not possible I will tell you it is, if a children hospital can manage to have people enter their emergency room and sit, so can this hospital.

I know this because I was there, everything was cleaned organized and no one was milling on top of each other as you are now forcing people to do here. Use your brain for crying outloud and stop with the nonsense. Be a leader, be innovative and think outside of the box which obviously is not happening here, problems are created by people dont be part of the problem be part of the solution with bigger better plans that the ones you as a hospital are using right now.

And since the hospital has no room they put patients back in the waiting area outside and someone hopefully remembers they are there so they can get the help they need. Be a hospital and stop the madness.

Absolutely BEST staff ever! But. why don't they clean and disinfect the wheelchairs after every use, why don't the doors in the very new Cancer Center work automatically? They don't even work when you push to open for the disabled. It's been months! Why isn't there any water for guests- even the water fountains are turned off. Why are there 15-20 minutes waits to get an elevator in the newly built cancer center? Lots of fails for a place with such incredible employees.

Today I can say that they have a security guard in place, who will ask everyone for an ID. Your name must be in the list in order to be able to go inside and visit someone. If they don't find your name on the list, you have to call the patient's nurse and ask that nurse to call the security guard downstairs. I believe the entrance is much more secure now, due to the fact that you are given a sticker ID, and you are not just going in without notice.

Depending on what day you go, you'll get a security guard in a good mood or one who isn't too helpful. Either way, just call the nurse to make sure your name is on the visitor's list!

I'm fortunate to have not spent a lot of time in hospitals over the course of my life. When my doctor told me I'd be delivering my baby at Baptist Hospital in Kendall, I wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. When all is said and done, I had a great experience! We visited two times prior to my baby's delivery for an infant CPR class and a breastfeeding class.

The CPR class was great, but we didn't get too much out of the breastfeeding class (didn't love the instructor). It was great to visit prior to become more familiar with the parking situation (there is a large lot near where labor and delivery is which I prefer to parking garages) and all the different buildings. I'll spare you the details of my birth and instead focus on the AMAZING staff.

Every nurse we encountered was out of this world. I felt so taken care of over the course of the three(ish) days we were there, I didn't want to leave. Even the security guards were funny and welcoming. Giving birth can definitely be scary, but I felt very comfortable at Baptist. When it came to sustenance, the food you could get delivered to the room wasn't half bad and there were always options.

My husband made his way to the cafeteria a couple of times and they had even more to choose from and stayed open late. We had the basic room and it was tiny. I felt bad for my husband who slept on the squeaky pullout couch three nights in a row. I did catch a glimpse at the bigger suites and they looked very nice! Definitely worth the upgrade if you'll have a lot of visitors. While I hope I don't end up at Baptist again anytime soon, I'm happy that this was where I gave birth to my healthy babe!
