Dr. Kuglen and all the staff are top notch! They are very knowledgeable and they take their time with you, making you feel special and important. I have never experienced such a thorough exam in my life. Dr. Jann was great. He explained every test I took, and showed me the x-rays, explaining each one in terms I understood. Dr. Jann is a very personable and patient doctor.

This was my first exam with this clinic. I've had eye exams before, but nothing like this. The front office staff is friendly and the back office staff are very kind, patient and knowledgeable. Doctor is incredible! They tell very clear, takes their time, explains everything, is very thorough, very nice and easy to talk to.

The staff at Avery Eye Clinic in Conroe is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Dr Lin has been my ophthalmologist for many years. I have complete confidence in her. Dr. Wilkerson seemed very good. But two things bothered me. Number one they did not check to see if our insurance paid for the exam and they do. They wanted $240 for my husband plus contact exam $75. I called them on Monday and I called my insurance who called them and told them insurance paid. This bothers me alot that is very expensive and I think k patients should be told upfront. The other thing that bothers me is technician checking my eyes messed up. She was very sweet but still that is her job.

Good from start to finish. This was my initial visit. Ladies at front desk were great, fast friendly and efficient. All the testing went fast.but never felt rushed. Special thanks to Dana and Evelyn for the care and detail to help improve my vision. The lady handling my scheduling for cataract surgery. Dr Dujean carefully explained and answered my questions.

My 80 year old mother is so happy with the attention and time your offices provide for her, and as I am her daughter I certainly have to thank you and appreciate your support in her teeth issues. She, as I'm certain you've noticed by now, can be a little grande, she's my little princess as she was my dad's Queen. So pat yourselves on the back cause she can be a little fiesta at times. I absolutely love Avery Eye Clinic. Dr. Wilkerson is the best. The only complaint I have is if you have something go wrong with your eyes or vision it is so hard to yo receive help. I had a problem with my vision. I called for two weeks and no one would help me or move my appointment up from April. I was scared something bad was going to happen to my vision.
I finally called on the beginning of the third week and spoke to Shirley, she was the first person to listen and care. She got me in that Thursday in the am. I went to the appointment and yes there was indeed a problem. I will have a shot in my eye by Dr. Carolyn Chen and hopefully my eye will be back to normal.

One of avery's doctors did cataract surgery on my right eye and predicted my vision would get better soon afterward although it kept getting worse. I scheduled an appointment with Avery's Dr. linn for a second opinion After waiting almost two months i arrived for the appointment. Was told by the receptionist that I had a copay of $30 I did not have any cash or credit cards on me but told the receptionist that if Dr. linn would go ahead and see me I would run home afterward and return with the $30 After consulting with Dr. LINN the receptionist returned and informed me in a rude manner and in front of others in the waiting area that Dr. Linn would not see me without the $30 This is a prime example of well known doctor greed. Refusing to see a patient who is rapidly losing his eyesight all over $30 is a horrible commentary on this doctor as well as Avery Eye Clinic.

Called and made an appointment for our daughter six weeks ago. Her appointment was today at 220 pm. They just called us and cancelled because they don't accept her insurance. When we called to make the appointment we asked three times if they accept the insurance and we're told yes all three times. Don't waste your time at this place they don't even know what insurance they take and which ones they don't.

For the second year in a row they told my wife she had a $25 copay to her insurance. She paid. Problem is we have never had a copay with our vision insurance and this is a repeat issue. Truth known they do it on purpose and hope you don't challenge. And don't even think about calling because no one ever answers. If you do speak to someone you have to raise hell to get results.
What sets me off is that I am capable of challenging them and getting corrective action but think about the elderly and naive that just pay and don't know otherwise. So I ask if they do this in the front office what do they do in the back office with your eyes?

My experience with Dr. Baptist Dejean was an ordeal to say the least. Went in for my bulging eye, due to Graves. He did the surgery and it ruined my eye. I cannot close my eye completely, and it's always gummy, and runny. I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. He's nice but beware of any surgery he does on you.

My new prescription is very off for distance. If you know how to get someone from Avery to return a call, please let me know. They have owed me a refund for several months now (even though I have asked several times that it be mailed to me), so I assume they are just going to keep my money. Also appears they are forcing me to go elsewhere to get the prescription I got from them corrected, for which I will have to pay AGAIN! Sorry patient care and billing department!

A very nice facility. Clean waiting areas, clean rooms, clean restrooms, and they have a Keurig coffee machine with coffee in the first waiting area. The initial wait was only 10 minutes and that included filling out new patient paperwork. The wait in the second area was entirely too long at over an hour before Dr. Lin actually sees you. The staff were very pleasant, courteous and helpful.

I believe the Doctors at Avery Eye Clinic are phenomenal. The staff working at the checkout desk however are not very professional. When I say staff, I am only referring to one individual. She seems to be on a high horse and acts like she runs the show. The lady I was speaking with first is a very kind and pleasant woman, while I was speaking with her about what my copay would be, this other entitled individual chimed in and decided what my copay would be (not even running my insurance) and after speaking with Dr. Wilkerson about seeing him for my follow up in The Woodlands, she decided she would tell me when and who I would see for my follow up appointment.
Basically this girl needs to have a little more training on customer service and how to talk to people. Do not smirk or laugh at people when they talk to you, your behavior is inexcusable. I will not be going back to this clinic only because of this one individual. It's amazing how one bad impression can affect someone's overall decision.

While I feel like Dr. Lin is thorough (the reason for 3 stars), the amount of time you have to wait is inexcusable. My mother is being treated for glaucoma (the most rarest kind) so her options aren't extensive. But we have to wait anywhere from 2.5-4 hrs while being here. If you have the opportunity to see someone else then I would definitely go elsewhere. Otherwise, bring a book, something to eat and drink and plan on your morning or afternoon sitting in the waiting room.
Staff is nice but you can tell they have been dealing with unhappy patients for a long time. Dr. Lin should be more concerned with her patients approval rating than the amount of money she earns.
