To book an appointment with one of our dedicated physicians, please contact us at (865)546-7140 today!. Cataract surgery is a procedure to remove the lens of your eye and, in most cases, replace it with an artificial lens. Normally, the lens of your eye is clear. A cataract causes the lens to become cloudy, which eventually affects your vision.
Also known as AMD. AMD is a chronic disease that causes a loss of central vision. AMD affects the part of the eye that allows you to see color and fine detail. There are two different forms of AMD. Dry AMD is the most common and is usually gradual. Due to the slow progression, dry AMD can often go unnoticed until it reaches advanced stages.
Center for Sight prides itself on being able to offer the very best in contact lens technology. Whether you are looking for spherical contact lenses, toric lenses to correct astigmatism, bifocal contacts so you can see at all distances without glasses, or if you prefer mono-vision lenses, our physicians and Tiffany, our contact lens technician, have you covered.

I LOVE COMING HERE! MY DAUGHTER, 8 YEARS OLD, ALSO ENJOYS VISITING. WE SEE DR. LANEY WHO IS VERY GOOD WITH MY DAUGHTER, AND SHE IS VERY INFORMATIVE ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT. TODAY, I CALLED TO MAKE OUR YEARLY VISIT, AND I SPOKE WITH HALEY. I HAD SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT GETTING CONTACTS. SHE WAS HELPFUL, INFORMATIVE, AND SHE KNEW HOW TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. IT'S HARD TO FIND A FRONT DESK EMPLOYEE LIKE THAT ANYMORE WHO DOESN'T SHUN YOU OFF TO ANOTHER DEPT. THEIR OPTICIANS ARE FRIENDLY, AND THEY LOVED HELPING MY DAUGHTER PICK OUT HER FAVE PAIR LAST YEAR. THE DEPT WAS SUPER HELPFUL WITH FINDING ME A PAIR I LOVED AND DIDN'T FEEL INSECURE IN AS IT'S MY FIRST EVER PAIR. LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR NEXT VISIT!

I am so disappointed in this practice, they just don't seem to care about their patients anymore. They are rude in the optical area and act like you are bothering them when getting new glasses. They have messed up my husband's glasses x2 now. I have been a patient for 2 years. Its visit was amazing after the visit this year I am finding a new eye Dr and Eye glass provider. Dr states because I am diabetic I need two visits because they can't do a eye exam with a diabetic exam because my insurance doesn't allow, how ever my husbands does, so I asked them to just do eye exam they did the exact things to me and my husband but no detail on my visit to provide information to my PCP.

Always, always runs way behind appointment times. This is the 4th time in 5 years I have been here for either an appointment for myself or my daughter. Every single time I wait in the lobby 45 minutes to an hour after my appointment time. I normally wait an additional 30 minutes to be seen by the Dr once they put me (or my daughter) in a room. They claim it never happens but it seriously happens every single time I come to this Dr.
The location is convenient and they do give a very thorough eye exams, but my time is valuable too. If your daily routine involves being on a strict timeline, find another eye Dr. If you don't mind making an appointment and being at the office for 1 1/2 to 2 hours for a routine eye exam then this place is for you. Again, they do give very thorough exams but not everyone has time to wait an hour or more past their appointment time.

I have only been here for the ophthalmologist so far, so I can't speak to the glasses / contacts experience. But the doctor was fantastic. Very thorough, efficient and knowledgeable. They also let me stop in at the glasses shop and get my old glasses tightened so they would stop slipping off my face.

If you have Davis insurance be prepared to have to dig through boxes on the floor to find frames. Also expect to be treated as a 2nd class citizen. We contacted Davis to inform them that their product is not on display and this company purposely hides said product so customers have to choose from other companies. Davis decided to compensate us totally and are investigating Center for Sight for this situation. Do not use these people if you have that insurance.

I visited Center for Sight at the end of 2015 for my annual eye exam and to get glasses. They're located in a building with two other eye related physician practices. The building is nicely laid out and decorated. The front desk staff, the person who took me back to the room and assisted the doctor, the doctor, the check-out person, and the folks in the eyeglass shop were all nice and professional. I also liked that they gave me information telling me how to access my chart info electronically.
