Northwest Eye Surgeons is excited to announce the collaborative creation of The Eye Physicians (dba Adventus Eye Care). We are excited to become part of the largest private ophthalmology group in Ohio, allowing us to continue to deliver state-of-the-art care for our patients! You will still call the main number (614-451-7550) for appointments, billing questions, refills, or to speak to your physician or their staff. You will still see your physician at the same location. Glasses and Contacts are crucial for people with impaired vision and without them, daily life can become very difficult. 285 million people are estimated to be visually impaired worldwide: 39 million are blind and 246 have low vision. About 90% of the world's visually impaired live in low-income settings and 82% of people living with blindness are aged 50 and above.

Boyle basically ruined my life and mocked me with his assistants in the hallway. He downplayed my corneal abrasion as just a surface rub but 4 years in, I cannot look at a computer screen more than a few minutes, lost all my ability to work in my profession, have eye strain 24/7 from the imbalance nd loss of vision. He just brushed it off as.oh your injury just focused your attention on that eye which was already bad. Well, my old distance glasses tend to disagree because that RX showed this eye that is now 1.0 diopter weaker than the other used to be 0.25 better than the other eye.
And when I went back in 3 weeks after the visit because my vision was not returning as he said it would, he just laughed me off as loopy and made fun of me with his assistants in the hallway thinking I couldn't hear him.

Dr Dan Brown should be recognized for his outstanding commitment to excellence. Courtesy, knowledge and going above and beyond with his patients care are some of many traits we should recognize. Minimal pain and comfort, explain thoroughly every step of the surgery he's performing and also the best result. Dr. Brown was my dad's doctor and I just love his treatment compromise to the best. I would highly recommend Dr Brown as the best eye surgeon I have ever met. Thanks a lot

I have been going to Northwest Eye Surgeons for nearly 8 years. Dr Whitaker diagnosed my glaucoma and has kept it from progressing with medication and vigilance. If waiting is necessary, I'm fine with it. I've always had to wait at previous eye doctor appointments so this is not unexpected. I won't trust my vision anywhere else.

30 minutes late getting back to a room with no explanation or apology. Sent to another waiting room for 15 minutes. Spent five minutes with the doctor then shipped back to the waiting room. Stop there for a few minutes then was ushered into an exam room I stopped there for 15 minutes before another doctor showed up to actually do the exam. If you enjoy sitting in Waiting rooms, this is the doctor's office for you

Be sure to set aside plenty of time for a routine eye exam - it's typically a 2-3 hour duration in the office. They are SLOW. You think the main waiting room is packed? Wait until you see their other waiting room! When you finally get into the exam room, it's another 20-30 minutes waiting for the doc. What's most frustrating this last visit is that they rescheduled my appointment but I did not find out until I arrived for my originally scheduled time.
They tried calling my old cell #, but didn't reach me. That's it - no other effort. They have my wife's cell as an emergency contact but didn't call her because they're too busy (their words). I suggested they could throw a postcard in the mail for me to call the office to reschedule, but they said that's not their policy. Since you rescheduled, wouldn't you take the extra effort to contact me!? I like Dr. Whitaker & trust his medical expertise, but the way the rest of the office cares for their customers is lacking.

Extremely thorough and well organized doctors and staff. Dealing with your eyes is very critical. No room for error. My experience was excellent with very good results. The surgery center is next door and that was a very good experience as well. Nice to have a quality group of professionals for such a delicate area.

Professionally, they provide good service. However, they are horrible at not having any consideration for patient's time. I had to wait an hour and a half before I was finally seen by an ophthalmologist. Most of the people in the waiting room appear to be retired and don't have any time commitments so it doesn't appear to bother them or the staff. However, my time is just as valuable as the ophthalmologist's and would appreciate such consideration in future. For those of you with time to waste, enjoy a good book (War and Peace) while waiting during your next visit!
