When I went in for my shot in my eye I was moving very slow. I had fallen and broke 3 ribs. Everyone was so kind and helpful. After Dr. Patel gave me my shot he helped me out of the chair and made sure I was ok. He is always kind and caring and so is his staff. I get a shot in May eye every eight weeks. Dr. Patel is great giving my shots, . I only feel s little pressure, no pain! I have been going to Dr. Patel for many years and he is an excellent Retina Specialist.

My first visit to see Dr. Choi. Recommend by Dr. Ku. When I call to ask for direction the lady that answer the phone was helpful with the direction to get there. It just take me awhile to fill the forms, after that a short wait. They were busy. All the different stations, people that tends to me was friendly. Dr. Choi was friendly and nice. My experience was a good one.

The people here are not only highly professional but also so very skilled at what they do! They are prompt with whatever is requested and are so very kind to their customers. We don't have insurance but we still required a bunch of extra paperwork and information and invoices, and no matter how badly I felt for requesting these so frequently, they always provide what we need with a genuine smile on their face. Doctor Choi is an AWESOME doctor and we couldn't have asked for better Healthcare workers. 10/10!

Satisfactory check in visit this week, very professional and efficient. Kind staff, I enjoyed talking with Jerica the front staff. Debbie was also wonderful, doing things quickly I didn't have time to be anxious about anything. : Dr. Patel is great! This was my second time seeing him. I recommend these specialists.

Dr. Torti is a physician who truly cares about his patients. The staff is terrific, too. I never dread keeping an appointment at this facility. I wish every doctor cared as much as he does. And I wish every doctor's office was staffed with people as pleasant, proficient, and kind as the personnel at this office.

Competent eye care, but the front office needs some cross-training and management. If the telephone rings, the receptionist closes the window and leaves elderly patients using canes and walkers waiting to check in and sit down; at the same time, the appointment clerk is two feet away and texting on her cell phone. If you knock on the window, the receptionist opens it a bit, smiles, and says, "I'm on the phone, " and re-shuts the window. This does not project a caring attitude toward patients.

Picked up some snazzy post care eyewear from Dr Choi! I didn't "want to" have to come in for a 2nd opinion on my retinal holes/tears/floaters/flashes but hey it's your eyes after all and better safe than sorry. Leaving here feeling really good about and confident in my previous retinal treatment with Dr Rostami. Kudos to him on his good work!
However going forward I will be moving on over to this office. Here's why: *friendly efficient staff *very "dialed in" system here (very little waiting) *I was in and out of office in under 1 hour *Dr Choi has excellent bedside manner *Super knowledgeable about all areas effecting the retina and mine specifically *He put my big scary fears at ease *He explained things to me about the "trifecta" or perfect storm as he calls it in regards to my left eye. *This office also has a team of surgeons just like Dr Choi, season experienced and highly knowledgeable. *Dr Choi also discouraged me from Lasik with my left eye - too risky on that left eye. *Told me not to try and correct the floaters too risky Bottom line getting older sucks, being very near sighted sucks but at least I have Retina Specialists and Dr Choi in my corner! Feeling thankful! Should you choose to come here I know you're in great hands!

The Plano Office: The front office staff, MA/Tech, and Dr. Patel were all equally inept and uncaring. The front office staff were unhappy, unkind, and not receptive. They didn't even open the front window to provide patients with forms until AFTER 10-15 mins after we signed the sign-in sheet. Thankfully, I already filled out the forms online, so I only had to wait an hour. :/ After waiting an hour to be called back, the gal taking images of my eyes on the OCT machine didn't even wait until the light was green.
It was mostly blue or red when she snapped a shot. The medical records gal was very unkind as well. She claimed some of my meds were not real meds because they were "just over-the-counter vitamins". When I told her 2 were treatment for severe Vitamin B12 and D deficiencies, she just said, "Oh". Not, "I'm sorry." Just, a callous "Oh". When we got to allergies, she claimed my allergy to a med wasn't a real allergy.
So when I told her that that's what the hospital staff told me when I was treated for the allergic reaction to the med, I just got another uncaring "Oh". Dr. Santosh Patel was no better. He decided since I only have blurry vision and difficulty reading and making out details, but don't have light flickers or floaters, then there's no way I have a macular hole. This, BEFORE he even looked at the images of my eyes or reviewed my medical records.
Then he belittled my Optometrist saying, "I can't believe he thought you had a hole in your right eye when you obviously have blood leakage". I told him, "I can believe it.because it was my LEFT eye he saw the hole in, not my right." When I asked him why I have bleeding in the retinal part of my right eye, he said it's either due to my diabetes or hypertension.
When I told him I have neither. He said, "Oh, then there's no reason for the bleeding since you don't have either, and you're in perfectly good health otherwise." I said, "Really? Because I've had 13 surgeries, 3 in the past year and the most recent was my 3rd heart surgery, which I had a month ago. So do you think the bleeding might be due to any of my other health issues or meds, like Eliquis?" He said, "No, it's nothing to be concerned about. It'll resolve itself." Dr. Santosh Patel told me to return in 6 months to recheck. Not happening. STAY. AWAY. FROM. THIS. OFFICE.

I experienced a detached retina. My ophthalmologist, who is an eye surgeon himself, said "I'm sending you to an associate, because he is better at this type of surgery than I am". I was very pleased with my experience. I never had to wait more than a few minutes during any of my appointments. After an initial exam, I was scheduled for surgery with Dr. Patel.
He did an excellent job of answering all my questions and informing me of what to expect from the surgery procedure as well as recovery. The surgery center itself was also excellent. The care I received was outstanding. I would recommend this facility and staff to anyone who needs retinal care.

I was referred to Retina Specialists after learning I may have an issue. They did a really great job of taking all the tests and scans of my eyes we needed to have a full picture whats happening. I was very happy to learn the issue was not as serious are my primary optometrist thought. The root cause was something a little different which is why a specialist is important to see on these things not just a general ophthalmologist. The specialist Santosh C. Patel, MD I worked with was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all my questions.
