We feel we can provide an alternative to the ED for these non-emergent patients. Physician Now Urgent Care does not take the place of your primary care physician, but rather offers you medical care when you are unable to see your doctor or for issues not typically cared for in your doctor's office.
You knew from the moment we arrived that I was concerned and (my daughter) was very sick and immediately took action. I really appreciate how quickly you assessed her health and took the appropriate actions to get her on the road to recovery. I also appreciate all of the follow up calls to check on her progress.

Went to Urgent Care today. The doc and the staff were great. They got me in quickly and on my way to feeling better. Everyone was so nice.

Over Christmas I got covid and walking pneumonia (diagnosed elsewhere). 11 days after this I was still coughing. I went in to make sure that the pneumonia had cleared up as my uncle had just died from getting covid then bilateral pneumonia. I just wanted to make sure my lungs were clear which I had to explain multiple times. Now the reason I went to this clinic is the other clinic I had been to did not have x-ray and they said if I needed to follow up I would likely need an x-ray.

To avoid paying for 2 dr.'s visits I just went here. While waiting for the dr to come in I could hear her and the nurse outside the door talking about me and how they were annoyed that I would come in when I had covid. Per cdc guidelines the current isolation period is 5 days. They were being super rude and condescending. Then the dr comes in and for the 3rd time I had to tell her why I came in.

I Just wanted to make sure my lungs were clear. My widowed aunt called me bawling because she was worried I was going to die. Ok I didn't want to be there and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have gone in. I shouldn't have had to go through all that and would highly not recommend stepping foot in this place. But, hey I got to pay $135 to be talked down to like I was an idiot. Good times.

I called around 4:00pm to see what the wait-time looked like for a walk-in and they said they weren't taking any more patients that day (even though all of their information says they close at 8:00pm). Main point: call first.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Went in to get a covid test because my wife said they got her right in and it was very easy. I call and was questioned on why I needed a test.my response was "To know if I have covid". The lady on the phone then asked if it was for a specific reason. I answered her with "I'd like to know so I don't get my 3 children and wife sick along with my coworkers".

She asked how long I was showing symptoms and I said a day or so. She refused my test and I asked to speak with the manager. She was the manager.my wife had told them she only had symptoms for a day as well but seemed to get right in!

It took awhile but I appreciated being able to wait in my car instead of a busy doctor's office. It was pretty much contact less visit except for while with nurse then doctor. Thank you for your work.

I believe this is the first review I've ever written. I feel compelled to make sure others know of an amazing medical resource in our community. The building and the office space are unassuming may be a little rundown. I have several chronic health conditions that require me to see many doctors frequently, it's annoying. I only write that because I want you to understand that I've seen many many doctors from the Mayo Clinic to everything in between. Dr. Merz is thorough and compassionate she's also very clever.

Very few doctors understand the healthcare system well enough to know how to help their patients to navigate it. Dr. Merz will do everything in her power to make sure that you're well and she will make sure to do it as inexpensively as possible. I don't know what higher praise I can heap upon a doctor she is compassionate she is bright and she clearly could be running a very large and prestigious hospital.

Why she chooses to run an urgent care next to the dollar store I don't know, but to all of you perspective patients I will say you are very lucky and in extremely capable hands. Needless to say, I went to her on a very bad day and she helped me in such a compassionate way. I'm grateful that there are still some good doctors out there. Thank you, Dr. Merz for your service to our community

First time posting but compelled to share my disappointment. I understand they may be busy, but no excuse for the extremely rude/snotty front desk clerk. I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here - thankfully left before completing registration due to her behavior. Just be sure you have reviewed all of the reviews regarding the lack of customer service if you decide to seek medical care here.

Dr. Merz is so wonderful. I had an accident 3 years ago that required stitches on a pretty deep gash. Today, surprisingly, you cannot even tell. Today, my 13 year old split her eyebrow. there was zero hesitation on where I was going to take her. Dr. Merz and her staff was so kind and got to work quickly. It is so comforting to know that she is going to heal beautifully. All because of Merz and her team. Thank you so much!

Do not recommend. Rude and incompetent staff. Sent us to the ED for an ear infection, something they could and should have treated. Spent my entire day and hundreds of dollars for no reason. They did not have a physician on site as their website stated. Office manager does not belong in customer service and clearly hates her job. I will never go back.

Dr. Merz is the! BEST. She's relational and truly concerned doing what is best your health needs. I've had her a few times now (most recently, yesterday) and completely trust her with my medical care. Yesterday was quite hectic for a Sunday w/ patients and yet she invested time w me --- didn't rush it and send me out the door. She's a keeper!

Patient beware. Physician Now Urgent Care has their billing set up that you provide a credit card in order to see a physician. I had medical insurance and a credit card however their billing is to busy charging patient credit cards to file a medical claim. My current medical insurance makes it very easy to see if a claim is approved, denied and even partially denied but Physician Now Urgent Care never will utilize that payment option.

In signing their waivers, they make it that you give up the right to contest or chargeback an amount. Instead of calling my credit card to contest, I decided to make sure others are aware of their lazy medical billing department.

Everyone from the front desk to the practitioners was so nice and caring! I waited very little to be seen and received phenomenal care! They were low cost. My concerns were taken seriously by all staff.

This place is a joke. I've always gone here considering I don't have a primary care and it's just easier to go to urgent care. When Dr. Emily was there her patient care was outstanding and she always made sure to listen to what I had to say. I never even saw a doctor only a nurse practitioner which i'm not found of. Long story short, the nurse practitioner never came back into the room after running a few tests.

The FRONT DESK lady come in to give me my results which is so odd and horrible patient care. I was about to walk out kind of confused as to what the diagnosis was. I walk out to the front and the nurse practitioner is standing there talking when she could have easily came into the room to explain the medication/diagnosis. Won't be going back here.

I love that this urgent care is available. The doctors here are so accommodating and compassionate. They get down to business and help you figure out a solution for your issues! I Will be going here for as long as they continue to do top-notch services.

Great place. My 4 yr old needed a nasty hook cut out of her foot. Every staff member helped her feel as comfortable as possible and they did a great job.

The worst care I've ever had. The front desk is a joke and is a complete bitch. The do. If u can say that is more concerned with his credit then his hipo credit oath. He tried to send an aging to the er for a coughing fit then treat him. Witch is there fucking job. Not to be leasted from the job at hand. The worst cold n flue out break in history this tool wants everyone to get to the emergency room where Hart attack and infent children r at risk for the flue.duh the er doesn't want them there.

And u r an er doc. Really. This was the worst experience I've ever had in the medical field. What a joke. And I'm not from here but my best friend is a doctor and after talking with him he agreed that my visit was bullshit. And not a reasonable visit. I can only say my visit sick to my core. Was a wast. I and my wife after being attacked for her opinion I will never step foot in this egomaniacal god complex so called medical clinic.

This place is GREAT! It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you walk through the office doors you will be pleasantly surprised. It is clean, well decorated, and much roomier than it appears from the parking lot. We have actually visited Physician Now twice in the past two weeks. We initially went for a quick sports physical for my daughter. IF YOU LIKE THEM ON FACEBOOK SPORTS PHYSICALS ARE ONLY $35!

I called College Park and their price was $60.the CVS and Walgreens clinics were around $50, so finding a physical with an MD for $35 is a bargain! The doctor we saw was fantastic. He really took time with us, and he was great with my 12 year old. He is also a concussion specialist who works with the NFL, and several local high school teams. That is what brought us back for visit #2.a nasty run in with a head and a door frame.

Although the concussion specialist wasn't in until 3:00 on our second visit, we saw another doc that was equally as impressive. She was kind and patient, and she didn't seem to be in a hurry as doctors tend to be. Both doctors seemed genuine and knowledgeable. The nursing staff and the office staff were all very kind and easy to work with. We will absolutely be back!

We have visited this Physican Now Urgent Care location several times and have always had a positive experience. I highly recommend this Urgent Care! Their hours are convenient, and they have x-ray capability on site, which saved us a trip that we would have had to make had we gone to our primary care physician. Their diagnosis has always been great and the physician and staff were very friendly.

The last thing i want to do when i have a fever is wait around for 20 minutes. they help like 10 people at one time so it takes forever. i sat there for two hours. they tested me for strep and mono, i literally just have a sinus infection and want to go home and go to bed.

Can't say that the Dr's are good or bad because I never saw one. I came in as a new patient and filled out my paperwork. There was another patient waiting in the waiting room as well. The front desk associate motioned for my attention and then called me by the wrong name. She mixed me up with the other patient. No problem. I corrected her.

Then she called the other patient up to pick up my insurance card and license. The lady handed it back to her and explained that the documents weren't hers but mine. Glad she was paying attention and didn't walk off with my drivers license and health ins card. Also, we didn't look anything like each other. It was just complete oversight.

The other patient was called back and I waited for I'm guessing 15 minutes more. Thirty minutes go by before the other patient is coming to the check out area and kindly lets me know there isn't a dr there. That is when the nurse and receptionist decided to tell me that "the dr is missing." I clarify that he is missing and his whereabouts are unknown concerned for his safety and then they expound that there was scheduling issues and he probably forgot he was supposed to come in that day so they were trying to get ahold of him.

They explained they were notifying patients as they bring them back in the rooms. I didn't have time to wait and basically wasted 30 minutes to see a dr when they could have just shared that information as I walked in the door. Sadly. I'll never go back to see if the drs are good because of the front office customer service.

I would in no way ever consider going back to Physician Now Urgent Care. I took my daughter, who was having severe stomach pains, at 6:45 pm at night, and we were immediately and rudely refused treatment. The person at the front desk told me that they were closed at 6PM which the sign and website clearly indicate they close at 8PM. When I pointed out that the sign clearly says 8PM, she again rudely insisted it said 6PM and refused to see my daughter. It is completely unacceptable for a medical practice to refuse service to anyone simply because they don't want to work. I am astonished they are still in business.

We have visited this location a few times when unable to see our own doctors. We have been satisfied with the service we received, even when their bedside manner has been a bit abrupt. In fact, despite having been to my own doctor for the same reason a few days earlier, the doctor here detected an additional complication, resolved it, and then gave me a stronger antibiotic.

The doc was nice but down to business. They are not there for your 'overall' health like your primary *should* be, but for the matter of the moment; your overall health in how it relates to your current need is necessary, but not primary, to them, and I'm fine with that. Their diagnoses have always been spot on, and they have referred us to the ER when it was necessary, and have been quite helpful.

The wait can be hit or miss, but the service I received on a mid-afternoon on a Saturday was quick and helpful. As for paying up front, many regular practices require that as well.

The care was fine; long wait, but that's not something they can control. I had simple bronchitis; it was a 5 minute or less visit once it was my turn. What is NOT fine at all is how they bill. At least for my situation, I have Aetna insurance. I found out AFTER I WAS CHARGED that they bill Aetna a flat $128 for pretty much any standard visit (called a S9083 charge, so I was told by the billing company).

Plus other charges if they do more than a 5 minute visit with you. For me, it was $128. Their arrangement with Aetna means that Aetna charges that against my deductible. No copayment charge, as would have applied if I'd seen my regular doctor. So here's the bottomline, if you HAVEN'T met your global deductible from your insurance, and if you HAVE a fixed doctor visit copayment, then save yourself a ton of money and go to your regular doctor.

This visit would have cost me $35 copayment at a regular doctor's office. But by going to this 'quick clinic" (that was not quick at all), the clinic and Aetna have a deal worked out so that I have to pay 100% out of pocket and the doctor visit copayment doesn't apply. And to add insult to injury, when I called to inquire/complain, there was no apology, no support.

Just 'not our problem. you gave us your credit card and signed the waiver. You should have known what your policy covers.' When I said, "yes, but I didn't know what you were going to charge or that the copayment that is common at a doctor's office isn't how we do it, " I was told, "Well, our name is Urgent care, so you should have figured it out." And this one final dig, "YOU SHOULD HAVE READ YOUR AETNA POLICY BEFORE YOU CAME." Really? Shame on you.

I am sure you read your iTunes contract before downloading too. Sure. Legally, I am sure they are correct. But sometimes that's not really the issue. Terrible Karma guys.

Worst experience ever with a doctors office. Stay away and tell your friends to stay away. 1st they want your credit card and won't see you without one. Then they promise they won't run your credit card before sending an email letting you know when it will happen. Wrong answer. They did NOT email or call or any other type of communication to let me know that they are charging my card like they said they would.

I should have ran when they asked for my credit card. The office personnel all had attitudes that they were being bothered because I was there. Then the doctor has me get a chest x-ray. Then they tell me there is a problem and I should see my regular doctor. They did nothing to help me, but they made sure they got their money. This office is a complete scam. If you can wait to see a real doctor you will be better off. I will never go here again. They SUCK!

Our family had just moved to the area and husband had been suffering for a week with severe ear pain, drainage, diffuculty hearing.ear infection- right! Wrong! Should have known surrendering your credit card before even being seen was a BAD sign! He did get in and out fairly quick, about an hour and a half, but that was the only good thing I can say.

He was told he had swimmers ear. Sent him home with prescription for ear drops. After a week of more pain, called back said the drops weren't working. Still had all the inner ear symptoms, was told there was nothing they could do unless he came back in. So glad he went to another Urgent Care.and was diagnosed with an inner ear infection, got meds and was on the mend in2-3 days. I look today and my bank account got charged 165.00 from Physicians Now. WOW- no bill, no payment plan, just a big fat surprise withdrawl with nothing to show for it!
