The Elizabethton office was in the original Medical Care office. In 1987, Dr. Arnold Hopland purchased the Green Tree restaurant on Elk Ave. The building was gutted and moved over a new full basement. The building doubled in size and A.H. Family Medical Care was born. The office was expanded in 1997 adding four additional exam rooms.
After completing the form, a Medical Care employee will contact you to confirm your request. Please Note! Internet prescription requests are handled as priority & similar to telephone requests. Please allow 72 hrs to process medication requests. You can now have your medical prescriptions refilled at Medical Care. Our pharmacy in the Johnson City and Elizabethton offices is now open and the pharmacy in the Elizabethton office will be opening soon!

I brought my wife here because she has a severely abcesed tooth and in a lot of pain. Her face is swelled to the size of a golf ball and they had her sit there for an hour and a half. During which atleast 25 others checked in behind us and they called every one of the 25 people back ahead of us. So we left and went to the medical care in Elizabethton and explained what had happened they called the johnson city medical care and they lied saying they triage us when clearly they did not.
The lady at the Elizabethton medical care then told us after all of that that we would have to wait even longer now because everyone was getting ready to go to lunch. Funny thing is that it was only 11:00am. This doctor's office is a joke, they could care less about there patients even the one's in severe pain!

If I could give a 0 I would. they never answer there phones no matter how many times u call and leave a message for whenever they decide to call back. then u have to go down there to get anything done. I have never seen a dr office that never picks up their phones. it's a joke of a place. my husband been out of work for a while and after a while she didn't want to fill paperwork out have to go round and round w them. we tell them something they hear what they want or nothing like we said it.or tell us one thing we get there say no didn't say that and they don't do a good privacy to talk they just take u to the side from the other patient's tell u about ur medical information when ur not expecting that in the in a waiting room. I will be calling to see who's over this dr office.

I loved this place. Usually seen Deaana Hensley or Jeffrey Holland. Then one day I went to the walk in clinic with chest pains. Dr Parrish gave me some medicine that plummeted my blood pressure. She ended up calling 911. The doctor at the ER decided it was a panic attack. I tried to talk to Dr Parrish she dismissed me from the practice because of her mistake. I had been going there for years and was treated like trash.

My step daughter is very sick. Took her to get covid testing. The lady checking patients in informed us that Medical Care was out of tests and she didn't have a clue when they would get some back in. I asked where I could take her and her response was, "I don't know. I just work here." Very unprofessional. They don't even deserve a one star. That lady needs a different profession.

I've been here about three times now; the first two times was with the same doctor, the last was with a different doctor. This last doctor was rude and hurried me on out the door without really trying to figure out what was wrong. Later, I called back to see about getting a note for work since I had missed a few days. The doctor only wrote me out for two, and when I requested for the whole time I was out to be written on the note, she denied me. Poor service! I would never suggest anyone to go to this doctor EVER. Pitiful excuse for a person who is there to help people who are sick.
