I called to get information and explain what I was looking for. I was not listened to AT ALL. In fact, her husband just kept cutting me off and lecturing me about stuff I already know. He wouldn't know I knew this stuff, because he wouldn't listen to me. He just kept cutting me off and lecturing me about stuff I already know like vitamins (my degree in is Nutrition and dietetics and I have a certification in functional diagnostic nutrition therapy with similar lab testing).
I have plenty of background and I wasn't calling to get lectured for 30 minutes. I was calling to see the type of care and attention I would get through the healing process. I've worked with doctors before who don't listen, just lecture, and that didn't wok for me. The fact that the initial consult went this horrifically was severely disappointing.
The phone call was a severe waste of time and I felt so defeated after. He went on to say if money was an issue than I shouldn't see her, and that's not why I was asking about the cost. I was asking about the cost because based on how I was being treated on the phone I lacked trust. He even said he was a hypnotherapist, what?!

Dr. Varese is very knowledgeable and takes a holistic approach to treatment. Initial testing was comprehensive and includes several take home kits. This would be daunting, however, each kit was fully explained in detail which made me feel confident doing them on my own. The office is super accessible and responsive to questions. I feel confident that I am in good hands

Not only has Dr. Varese done a lot for me, she helped my daughter with her health issues. It was nerve-wracking sending a kid 700 miles to college knowing her health wasn't great. Dr. Varese worked with her all through college and she wound up graduating from an honors college with a good grade point average. Dr. Varese also got her back to school after three weeks when she had mono. She didn't have to take the entire semester off!

I have been a patient of Dr. Varese's for about 25 years and she has been the only doctor who has been able to help with my autoimmune issues. Her style is different from what people are stuck with on the HMO system and her methods work! I have autoimmune thyroid disease and Celiac and she helped me to obtain a diagnosis with Celiac, after going to many doctors for over 20 years with no help. Ditto for thyroid disease. Mainstream doctors will only treat by a lab report, regardless of symptoms but not Dr. Varese.
She actuallly listens and will not stop until you see excellent results. She is a "look at the whole picture" doctor and won't ply you with meds and send you on your way. If you have stubborn problems and are getting no help from mainstream medicine, go see Dr. Varese!
