Coastal Eye Associates are consultants to the Johnson Space Center Flight Medicine Clinic and provide eye care services to the astronauts and their families.

Through Coastal Cares, employees have raised money and awareness for breast cancer, autism, low vision, and a number of different health related causes. In the spirit of Coastal Cares, employees go to Mexico on health missions, sponsor benefits for patients who have fallen on hard times, and donate numerous hours in helping people in need.
Dr. Gregory T. Clariday is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, specializing in diseases of the eye. Upon completion of medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Clariday completed a one-year internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and then completed a three-year residency program in ophthalmology at UTMB in Galveston, Texas.
Dr. William Lipsky is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has specialized in cataract, corneal and refractive surgery for over 30 years. His experience includes all forms of refractive surgical procedures including LASIK surgery. Dr. Lipsky also uses the new technology intraocular lens implants including ReStor and Tecnis for those patients seeking cataract surgery.

No one EVER answers the phone no matter which option you choose. No one EVER calls back when you request appointments online. I've been going there several years and never experienced this before. Coastal Eye deserves NO STARS

Wait time was not bad, but we had an early appointment. The doctors and staff were nice. I would have given 4 stars except for the billing. My only complaint is the billing department which is offsite. They hire people who can't even read EOB's correctly. I've emailed them and circled the adjustments and patient responsibility and then got another bill.

They said they never got the email so I'm faxing AND mailing a copy. Very frustrating to have to deal with an inept billing department. And as far as the reviewer who had one complaint but said everything else was great should not have given one star. Be fair.update March 2022Well it's a year later and the issue is still not fixed. I was on hold for 2 hours waiting on the escalation department.

I had the best experience at this office. This was my first visit and I was seen by Dr. Clariday. He was very patient and gentle. You can tell this man has been doing this for a long time! His staff were also very friendly! I would highly recommend there office

On hold for 10 minutes trying to book an appt. Gave up and had to book online. I have been a patient for 30 years and although I adore Dr Choi I do not like the fact that appointments are overbooked and waiting time is much too long.

Have been trying to get an appointment for 3 weeks now, they do not answer their phone and after holding for 30 min. you get to leave a message and no one will return your call. I have requested 3 times through their website for an appointment. I have been a patient for years, but will have to consider changing to an office that will answer their phone.

I love Dr. Clariday, but the wait times are ridiculous! I don't think I've ever been here for less than 2-3 HOURS! I believe they triple or quadruple appts.

Absolutely phenomenal employees and service. From the moment I walked in the door (without an appointment) the receptionist was so sincere and attentive (I apologize I did not get her name, I was very scared at that moment) I think she could see the fear in my eyes! She immediately got Adrian to assist me. He was very professional and calmed me down quickly. Dr. Clariday was in the room within 5 minutes.

He too had a very calming demeanor and was able to soothe some of my immediate fears. They sent me to get my eyes dilated and he reassessed me immediately after. Thank goodness nothing major was wrong, but in the event of an emergency, this is the place I would recommend. Thank your entire team for taking care of me today.

Wasn't surprised to see a 2.5 rating. I just came here to say that if your office is going to require masks even for people with medical conditions please have your staff wear proper masks. You are all wearing homemade cloth masks that protect no one from anything unless of course it's dust and pollen that you are worried about. The proper protocol for your staff would be to wear a surgical mask which protects the environment from y'all and then an N95 mask on top of that to protect y'all from the environment. The masks you are allowing are nothing but compliance. Have an absolutely amazing day and I hope you learned something.

Paid for a service in full in May/June, and because of a clerk that charged me the wrong rate{3 months later}they are trying to have me pay the difference . I don't think so, my receipt states "paid in full" with no balance! Talked to the manager Sandra, and all she could say was " you can choose not to pay". Terrible on the clerical end, my receipt says paid in full, you're not getting the 4 month later new price . Un-freaking-believable!

Awful! This clinic, Doctors, and staff have no respect at all for their patients. They over book appointments, expect patients to be on time and the expect you to wait in the waiting room until they get to you. If you are only waiting 30 minutes you are lucky. I walked out after an hour and a half today and will not go back. My time important too.
