Honestly way to hard to contact and get medical records from. i now live in california and was given the hardest challenge trying to get my records. for about two months went back to back with these people.

Second visit with Becky Sullivan PA-C and had a wonderful experience. Becky was very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. She was just as excited as I was with my progress. She took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions. Would recommend her to anyone. Can not say enough about how fabulous this visit was.

The office was very coordinated so it made the difficult process easier. I could focus on my health and get through surgery with great support. Matt was friendly and efficient. He listened and answered my questions. I felt in good hands. Dr Christianson did previous surgery on my husband so I had great confidence in his abilities. He is compassionate and skilled. My surgery was a complete success. Thank you all.

Dr Donegan is the best of the best. He is very personable, easy to talk to and takes his time with you. He explains things well, will answer your questions and he is an extremely talented and meticulous surgeon. I couldn't be more pleased with with the care he has and continues to provide me and the outstanding job he did with my Dad when he needed emergency surgery.

Really, REALLY disappointed in the service provided by this place. They reschedule appointments and don't let anyone know. Many people drive long distance to get here for appointments, only to find it was moved without notification. Sandy, an employee, is very defensive about this and it is NOT OK. No accountability.

From the moment I entered, I was impressed with the speed and efficiency. I was back in an exam room in no time and was always made aware of what to expect. Emily was very thorough and informative and helped me understand the condition of my knees and my options going forward. I have never had a better "stick" than when she injected my knees! I look forward to having less painful, better functioning knees.

I had severe pain in my lower back and hip and could not sleep for three weeks. I finally found BGO and in sessions two times a week for three weeks the pain was nearly gone. Two more weeks and the pain was all gone. I was given maintenance exercises to do at home between appointments and maintenance exercises to follow up. The pain has not returned and maintenance exercises are only once per month.

My husband was involved in a hit-an-run MVA the 1st of March this year resulting in a severe left shoulder and back injury. ER Doctor referred him to Bluegrass Orthopedics. His initial appointment with Dr Donnahue was made the next week which was great. He did see this Dr for approximately 5 min who recommended an MRI for the next week. Timeframe for appointments was still good!

However since completing MRI testing my husband has had TWO appointments CANCELED by this Doctor's office with the reason being "Dr scheduled for surgery during your appointment time". This last appointment was suppose to be this coming Friday, 5 days from today. Why would a Dr's office schedule out patients on a day "planned for surgery"?

My husband's injuries are life altering for him and our family and yet he continues to wait for another appointment months after his injury! In my opinion, CANCELING my husband's out patient appointment s TWO Months in a row for preplanned Surgery on the part of this Doctor is unacceptable practice.

Every single person we encountered today was beyond amazing & nice. They listened to my 9 y.o. daughter and answered every question & concern she had. Dr Harrod took the time to repeat the diagnosis for me so I could correctly relay the information to my daughter's dad. I have never been anywhere where we were treated so amazingly by everyone. I am so thankful for every person that works there. Before the elevator doors were even closed my daughter said we need to give them 8 stars because even she was impressed and amazed by them all.

Dr. Denehy and his staff are professional, yet friendly and "Dow to earth". Dr. D. is knowledgeable, yet compassionate. He takes the time to answer questions and fully explain areas of concern. he speaks clearly using understandable words. He is truthful, yet caring. He keeps to his schedule and waiting time is minimal. He successfully repaired my legs after. I fall and the shaft of my knee replacement bent and broke my femur. I think he is the best!

First visit at Bluegrass Orthopaedics went very well. Everyone I met was really pleasant to talk to and really cared about my hip problem. I'm scheduled to have a hip replacement done in June and I feel like I'm in good hands. Becky is awesome. She is not only professional but very patient friendly. I don't hesitate to make an appointment because i know for a fact they will take fantastic care of me. I can without hesitation recommend Bluegrass Orthopedics they are the best.

From day 1 I received the best care possible. The staff is super friendly and Dr Denehy listened intently and was very thorough in my treatment plan. No stone was left unturned. I always felt like I mattered and any question I had was explained in detail. I would highly recommend him and his staff! I have suffered a great deal over the last 5 years with great pain and reoccurring loosening of my prosthesis.

When I met Dr Denehy I was literally at my wits end and depressed. He was confident that a new treatment plan would work. I trusted him and I am so happy with the results! I feel confident that I can buy that bicycle I've been wanting! I thank him for giving me my life back!

I've now used Dr Christensen twice in one year for partial knee replacement on both knees. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. He came highly recommended and I understand why now. The entire experience from his office to the surgery center was top notch.

Laura is a wonderful mid level practitioner. She is very compassionate, informative and gives good injections to help relieve pain. This last set gave me the best results I've had. All in all, Bluegrass Ortho is a top notch medical practice.

I know a few people who have gone here and requested a referral for shoulder problems. Upon examination, Dr Donegan was able to identify my weak points and advised options. I'm not "cured" but feel better than I have in quite a while. I just don't know WHY I waited so long!

Dr. Favato and his team are the consumate professionals. They explained everything thoroughly and treated my grandmother as if she were family. Their aftercare rehab is excellent with the same care and values.

I'm facing shoulder surgery and needless to say I'm not looking forward to the thing at all. After seeing Dr Donnugan and his staff I'm less anxious. The entire staff couldn't have made me feel more at ease. Every single detail explained to me in terms I could understand always leaving opportunities for any questions and concerns I had. Dr Donnugan also came highly recommended to my by another doctor that I see on a regular basis.

He also preformed shoulder surgery on this doctor. I've watched him heal as to what he says, 100 percent use of his shoulder. Recommendations go a long way with me picking a doctor, especially for a shoulder operation.

I would give 100 star rating if possible. Dr. Denehy, Becky, Haley and the WHOLE staff saved my live. Literally. I thank them in my prayers and every opportunity (not just appointments) possible. The whole staff goes above and beyond for the care of their patients! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. THANK YOU! Thank you for assisting my family with my care and most importantly, for helping begin to get my life back! I hold a special place in my heart for you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My partial knee replacement by Dr. Christensen was a resounding success. I would recommend him and his team to anyone. I'm still amazed by the quick recovery, minimal pain, and back to normal feeling within 4 weeks!

I was seen by Dr Harrod yesterday at BGO. I was very impressed with him and the whole experience. I fell and fractured my ankle in 2 places. He was very thorough, kind and knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed. Ordered more X-rays and explained what we were looking at and why I need to have surgery. I would recommend him and his staff. I feel confident with him proceeding with surgery next week.

Met with Doctor and his staff. Everyone was professional and personable. I'm convinced they are the best team for the job. I gave them the job to replace my shoulder joint in the near future. Looking forward to the surgery.

Coming from the experience I had with Previous orthopedic physicians, it was like stepping onto a different planet. A planet where the staff listens. Their concern is sincere and making me better seemed to be their top priority, which they focused on doing as safely and as quickly as possible. I'm forever grateful for their help and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Denehy and Becky Sullivan, PA, to anyone with orthopedic issues.

My husband has had two appointments, both with Evan Hinson, first one for an evaluation of his right knee for knee replacement and the second one for a temporary solution to knee replacement due to a new health diagnosis my husband received. After consulting with Evan, my husband opted for an injection to his knee. Evan was excellent both times! First one for explaining his knee issue and the second time for his alternate suggestion to buy my husband some time and relief. Also, Brittany has been amazing, scheduling and rescheduling as things changed. We are so grateful for the compassion and understanding both of these individuals showed to us. Everyone at Bluegrass Orthopedics are excellent to deal with!

Needing the most knowledgeable medical info about knee replacement or alternative treatment for my torn meniscus and arthritic knee, I chose to wait six weeks to see Dr. D'Angelo, the knee specialist rather than one of the PA's. When I tried to call to see if there were earlier cancellations, I was put on hold for 30 to 45 minutes, and finally, indefinitely.so I gave up on that.

But here's the kicker: My appointment day finally arrived and I carefully prepared my questions and concerns for Dr. D'Angelo. Not to be. Instead, the PA appeared and said that the doctor was "busy". When I told her how long I had waited to see this doctor, she said he was "in surgery." No one from the office called to let me know this. I find this rude and inexcusable.

I agree with another patient who wrote that the place was run like an "assembly line". No respect. Its bad enough that downsizing is happening everywhere, even in the medical profession, but its worse that there is no respect or courtesy or apology, informing the patient ahead of time, or asking to change the appointment time.

Harry Lockstadt is an asshole. He told me I was too young to be in his office and that my pain was all in my head. Half-ass quack.

The best surgeons in town. This is the place to go for hip or knee surgery. But look elsewhere for physical therapy or at least ask about your cost before deciding. To me, $538.98 for an hour of PT is excessive ($192 after insurance). My spouse experienced more attention in a better environment at other PT groups in town. And for much lower cost. Note this applies to therapy at their physical location. The in-home physical therapy visits were top notch at a fraction of the billed charges.

This place is not organized! Making people With broken legs wait in line first to get iPad to pay them- then again to turn iPad in! What!? Madness - an admin should be bringing the iPads for registration out to those injured Or it done before we arrive! Very inconsiderate!

I had severe pain in the lower back and hip so I could not sleep for weeks. My physician recommended Physical Therapy but warned that good practices are hard to find. Another physician in Lexington recommended BG Orthopaedics. After three weeks of twice a week therapy the pain was completely gone. I was given a list of maintenance exercises to prevent reoccurance that I perform periodically. The results were outstanding and the staff expertise and patient focused second to none. Thank you for the pain relieve without surgical intervention.

The staff there is awful. It appears they have no clue about the doctors schedule because they had reschedule me 2 times as a new paitents at the very last minute. I had to make plans around those appointments. And now I cannot get a hold of the nurse, Sara. I called several times and left a message. After what seemed like 2 weeks, finally received a message back after several attempts.

She only answer one of the several questions I have. This is not good when someone is in pain and has to fork over hard earn money for treatments. However, I met the doctor once and he seemed nice.

When it comes to peace of mind when I seek medical treatment, I'm pretty thorough. I was referred to Bluegrass Orthopaedics from Urgent Care. With X-rays in hand, I visited this location to figure out the ankle situation. Just know: social distancing and mask wearing were reinforced from check-in to being escorted to the exam rooms. My doctor was warm and had a great bedside manner.

He reviewed the x-rays, my ankle, and gave me several treatment options. I could tell he loved his profession and it's nice to see a smiling face (well his eyes were happy), too.

After being a patient here for several years with no negative experiences, today was a very bad experience. I originally had a 2pm appointment, at their request it was moved to 10:45 PM. I showed up at 10:30. At 12:15 I gave up and told told the receptionist I was leaving. She said, "Oh he's running way behind, so sorry". I just find it extremely rude and unprofessional that no one could take the time to come out and explain why the long wait. Sitting in a crowded waiting run during a Covid outbreak, not knowing if they've forgotten you or not is not the way to do business.

I went in for metal to be released from my hand and they tried to get me to have an MRI on my neck! What the heck?!

If I could rate this office with a negative star I would! The staff was nice enough but that is where it ended. Dr. Jason Harrod was recommended by my colleagues and therefore my expectations were that he would be a competent, professional and efficient healthcare provider. Sadly, he was not, quite the opposite. From them moment he shunned our offered hand shake my daughter and I were disrespected, belittled and treated poorly by this physician.

I had taken my daughter there for a second opinion on a catastrophic injury and pain she has been having without relief for over two years. He did not even look at the scans we provided and went out of his way to be aggressive, condescending and rude. He refused to provide any advice or treatment plan. Only after we declined the use of medication to manage her pain (none of this has worked, at all!) I had to suggest a possible brace which he reluctantly agreed to write a prescription.

I am almost finished with my acute care nurse practitioner schooling, rest assured not only will I not be sending patients his way but I will warn those who have been referred to proceed with caution. If I had not been educated in healthcare and the extent of my daughter's injury I would be devastated to hear that his plan was a brace and just accept the pain. On top of incompetence Dr. Harrod's rudeness is unacceptable in healthcare. I work at a large Lexington hospital and will be warning others to explore other options.

Dr Huff and his staff were amazing. No complaints about the staff from me. Everyone was very helpful and returned my calls before and after knee surgery. I recommended this office and dr to my sister and others. They had same good experience as I did. Dr Huff prayed for me and made me feel safe and in good hands. If you need knee replacement surgery.

He is the doctor for you. Always check things out before believing the good or the bad reviews. Most often, only bad reviews are given. Those who are satisfied just don't take the time to write.

Triage nurse did not listen to my answers and wrote down an incorrect 'chief complaint' despite my asking her to correct the medical record. Now my med record has incorrect information. I had planned to discuss it with my doctor so he could correct it but his demeanor was even worse than hers. He may be very competent as a surgeon but his patient interaction stinks.

He made it clear he wanted to be anywhere but where he was. He never examined me. He never gave me a chance to ask him questions or to discuss any additional problems with him. He may have spent five minutes with me and that is a generous estimate. He basically looked at my x ray and said this is is and here's a shot. Come back in a month. And he disappeared out the door. I was flabbergasted that I never got to ask a question or discuss my previous doctor's diagnosis which was different than his. Disgraceful state of medicine.

It seems like they're becoming a surgery factory and all they seem to care about is the money. We're perfectly willing to pay the FULL amount of my wife's arthroscopic surgery on the DAY of the surgery (or a reasonable estimate of our cost anyways). They've been bugging her for weeks now wanting her to pay NOW, before the surgery.

This is ridiculous Why would we pay before the service is rendered? Is the insurance company going to send them money before they provide the service? Uh, yeah right I don't think Anthem would do that. In like a million years. It's not like we don't have the money. We could pay today if we chose to. BUT WHY SHOULD WE PAY DAYS BEFORE THE SURGERY? They're acting like she already owes them the money and are threatening to cancel her surgery if she doesn't come in and pay, like now. WTF people. Is this what we're down to now? No deposit-no service?

Office staff was completely rude and unprofessional. I called about being seen as I broke my collarbone, was told it would be 2 days before I could be seen by anyone, the woman was not very sympathetic or accommodating, very snarky. I went somewhere else and ended up having surgery a few days later. Would not recommend.

The PA was fine told me nothing that I had already figured out. If you need someone to call u back about your son being in pain don't expect to get a phone call back. I spoke with 4 different people one being hi

Went in for a knee injury not knowing what to expect. This office is top notch! Everyone was so very nice and helpful. I saw a PA and she was great. No complaints-professional office.

This is not my first contact with Blue Grass Orthopaedics. I had fabulous care from Dr. Vasicheck a few years back and from Dr. Christensen (at a different location), and Dr. Favetto took care of a family member extremely well. So I had no hesitation to return to them and Dr. Favetto. Boy, have times changed. While Dr. Favetto is still fabulous, he has never been on time at any of my multiple appointments.

Once was even an 1 1/2 hour wait that no one told me about at check in or called to delay my departure from work. It's a case of not appreciating the patient's time. Now I don't bill out at $110 every 15 minutes as Blue Grass Ortho does but my time is still money. They just don't care. When you call to try and check if they are running behind, no one answers after 23 minutes on hold, I hung up.

When you call to get an appointment, have a good book standing by, as you will wait over 33 minutes. Billing question, the same. The doctors are great, the physical therapy department is great, but forget about communicating by phone, you can't do it by email or their website, so I ultimately ended up sending a fax. With no response so far. Annoying that I have to invest this much time in trying to communicate with ANYONE at their offices. With so many people looking for work and they high fees they charge surely they could hire another employee to answer the phone! No respect for patient's time here.
